Listening to the Ryan, on site, interview now. So far, lots of talk about Trespassing. He still plays the fan soundbite. Adam handles it really well and talks about his diverse fanbase and that everyone "can all party together" no matter age, sex, etc. Turkish bar brawl is still in it. It sounds the same as what we heard live. He does not play the single but he has it posted right under the inerview along with the Jay Leno performance. I think we should give the single some hits. ryanseacrest.com/2012/01/20/adam-lambert-gives-details-on-his-upcoming-album-trespassing-video/Just getting home from work and am reading through the thread. I was afraid to listen. Is this the same interview? I didn't think it was that bad and they talked music, they were all in good humor from what I heard and I thought Ryan and the girl were sincere when Ryan said Adam was a smart guy and the girl about hard working. Am I really off regarding my interpretation??? OR.....this a different interview.

'Cuckoo' is a song is about going mad, or maybe it's about going sane and everyone else being mad.
Adam told us that he was thinking about the video already. We don't want to blow the surprise but it's based on a film. Actually the song is called 'Cuckoo' isn't it and it's about going mad so draw your own conclusions.

I hope the Bruno song stays off the album. He's put a lot of himself into it and it'd be nice if the attention, good or bad, stayed just on him. Doesn't need another Gaga/Fever type thing. I trust him to deliver his songs (even w a few colabs)

YAYAYAY! A promo also in Finland??? www.nrj.fi/blogi/musiikkipaallikko/2012/01/20/adam-lambert-fanit-huomio"Haluatko nähdä Adam Lambertin akustisen keikan livenä helmikuun alussa? Tavata tämä karismaattinen supertähti ja vielä päästä hänen kanssaan samaan valokuvaan? Joo, kaikki on totta!!" "Do you want to see Adam Lambert's acoustic gig live in the beginning of February? Meet this charismatic superstar and even get a photo with him? Yes, it's all true!" They are giving more info on Monday evening on NRJ. Okay, they already confirmed that this is in connection with the Stockholm gig... so no promo in Finland, at least for now.

Or am I "cuckoo?"

Just gotta say--nobody can turn crap into gold the way Adam can. Ryan tried very hard to make him look foolish, but Adam was able to turn it around to his advantage, pointing out that his fan base is very diverse and expressing affection for his older fans rather than ridiculing or denying them. Adam just may be the best interviewee I've ever heard. He's articulate, smart, and funny, and he knows how to be self-promoting in a way that doesn't sound the least bit arrogant or pushy. I agree. Maybe this is why at the end of the Ryan Seacrest interview Ryan says that Adam is very smart...a very clever guy. Perhaps Ryan was reviewing the interview in his head realizing that Adam did not take the bait regarding the age of his fans and instead stressed how amazing his surrogate mothers were! I don't listen much to Ryan Seacrest but maybe this is not really about the average age of Adam's fans, but more an attempt to align himself with 20 year-old listeners considering he is 37 years old and maybe aging in the DJ world? I think you are onto something here. Ryan most likely intends to remain forever young and hip and "20" so he has to talk and act that way and then no one will realize he is actually heading towards the big *40*. ;D

I still maintain that the reason many of Adam's fans are older is that we remember when music demanded better voices. There was no autotune when we were in our teens. Nobody tried to pass off talking as music. People had to be able to sing. That's why we appreciate Adam. He doesn't fake it with electronic manipulation. He can blow the roof off the joint singing live. It's refreshing! I agree with you again Murly that we older fans remember when amazing voices mattered and that's why we love Adam. I would also add that we (older fans) are more secure in our identities, thereby enabling us to declare that we are fans of a unique, out-of-the-box, gay singer. I think that many young people (and maybe more insecure older people) define themselves by the singers they follow, the designers they wear, the car they drive, etc. etc. They might feel comfortable defining themselves (for example) as a Gaga fan because that may denote "cool." We're just more at a point in our lives where we like what we like, whether perceived as cool or not.

Just a bit upset here. Looking at the meet and greet pictures and seeing some faces (one in particular) that have had more than one and in some cases multiple meet and greets with Adam. I tryed so hard to get a meet and greet today and couldn't! I've never met him. How many times do some of these people need to meet him? I mean, GTFO and let others who've never met him meet him. I'm so happy for the people who met him for the first time and got that experience. But for the lady who came from LA and the one who's met him a thousand times already, GO AWAY!! I guess I'm more than a little upset. Sorry:( I feel your pain! Never met him either! Me three. TBH, I don't expect to ever meet Adam in person.

I thought Ryan was a total douche during the "grandmas in Fresno bit" and the Finland and Sauli bit.... but I think his remarks about Adam being smart and hard working were sincere. I agree, he is trying to remain 20, hip, and snarky forever, but 40 is fast approcahing, Ryan dear!!
