By now my problem is more that my Ipad can’t work with all the links anymore and regularly reloads the pages after crashing. As much as I appreciate Pi‘s efforts for those, who aren’t like me on the social media platforms, all the links make it harder and harder for me to read here. So I do it less. The total lack of discussions also adds to that.
Maybe we should start discussions to certain topics in other parts of the forum? If there were different topics, everyone could also avoid the topics that they don’t like to talk about.

No one will flame you. There are many ways to shut down legitimate conversation and strident all caps (excuse me, large font lower case) labelling of other peoples comments as negative is one of them. Nuance is often lost in a binary only system. But conversation allows society to expand, learn, and strengthen its connections. However, that also means allowing the system to have diametrically opposed ends. So we'll deal, just even more quietly. Wow, had no idea a more readable font size was a method of shutting down commentary!! Really?? Please read my post again. I think you missed my whole point. 😑

If there were different topics, everyone could also avoid the topics that they don’t like to talk about. I was going to say a lot of what Nica did and that's to have a conversation you have to be able to have different opinions including possibly negative or at least snarky comments. And we've learned from experience that negativity in the main thread just can't be handled by a subset of our members. I know there are several of the subboards that allow members to start a thread. We've got Cassie's The Voice threads or Big Words thread. I used to do my weightloss yearly threads and we have mutliple starts and threads like the Moon Garden or inspired by Adam. If you start something in a subboard you have to commit to it and cross advertise in the main thread a bit too. I look at all recent posts because my computer can handle the links fine but if someone was just to come into the News thread they'd never know you were posting elsewhere.
