I was gonna ask if anyone has the link to the article where "Brian may______-" and then I TOTALLY FORGOT what I needed LOL. Sooo if anyone would be so kind as to deposit as many articles where Brian May talks about Adam and or future plans could u post or dm me? LOL. I am hoping something will jog my memory about what article I wanted LMFAO. LOL I am so bad lolol All I remember is it was kind of a recent one. Lynne (i think) who said how lovely it is when people don't try to be "cool" by stepping on someone else's back, and YAY! Winks (i think) who said "Year from now, matters even less than it does now what RS did/said, and just YAY! to so many excellent, insightful comments, and to that string of great interviews, and to those pics of Adam (what a star). Ryan has sort of a slow learning curve. For years on AI (pre-Adam) there were plenty of gay jokes and snide comments. That stopped with Adam's year. Has Ryan steered clear of that lately? I don't really watch it much.
Buders, thanks for re-posting your ageism essay. Loved it the first time and now as well. I am in my mid-50s. When Adam hit the scene, a lot of you have testified to re-awakening, new inspiration, etc., in your own lives. I did the opposite. I started stanning and then began to feel really old. Growing older never bothered me before. I loved turning 30; 40 was fine; 50 made me pause a bit but not much. Then reading all the stuff about Adam's old lady fans made me realize that I was one of them. That, and probably just a bit of natural mid-life crisis, threw me for a loop. I hadn't realized how "old" I was. I still felt mid-30s. I started looking at other 50-somethings and realizing that was me. WOAH! How did that happen? And I did feel a bit self-concious at GNT concerts. Went with other women my age.
In a way, I wish I was still in my own delusional world thinking I appeared younger than I am. :-/ I could color my hair and do other things people do to hang onto a youthful appearance. But that would not be me; I'm kind of a natural person.
