thanks for posting all the interviews! I miss them because I'm at work and can't listen so that's so awesome that they are here!
Buder I remember you and I had a conversation about the impact of the fans (all fans) at Hard Rock and your essay is spot on. I'm honored to have met you and hung out with you and people should hope and pray that they are as open minded and cool as you are regardless of their age.
I think the reason people are ageist is because they fear getting old. They don't want to admit that one day they too will be viewed as "too old" and "irrelevant" Seeing someone older at a concert whooping it up and having a blast shouldn't be cause of embarrassment it should be cause for celebration because that means that there getting older isn't something to be afraid of, it's something to be embraced....
Life doesn't stop mattering as we age it just become more precious and the moments more meaningful because there will be fewer and fewer until there are none.
Make the moments count people. Dance if you wanna dance. Sing if you wanna sing.....but for the love of God don't wear spandex because that's just not a good look no matter what your age ;D

I forgot the most important part , ADAM IS ULTRA TALENTED AS WELL I think you're our first Syrian member!! Whoo hoo!! And your mom sounds very wise!!! I know . Here in Syria there are a lot of glamberts ( at least in my school there are lots ) but the problem is that their english isn't very good and most of them don't have easy internet access . but yes , Adam has a lot of Syrian Glamberts !!!! but btw , I may live in Syria , but I was born in latin America . Venezuela , to be exact . |

The sound was so bad and the pic so dark, I was trying to figure out if the parts with Adam and that one guy was an old vid or a new one. I would say the interview is already done, if that was new footage. I would be very surprised if he is not in NYC next week. But, if he is not, it won't be the first time he and/or RCA has surprised us with this rollout! |

Welcome kamar and bertiebotts! Bertiebotts, before I joined Atop I had not much experience in writing in english and in the beginning it took me so long to write a little post, but promise it gets easier with every post, please keep posting And, may I say, that we are all experienced in trying to untangle Google translated articles and posts. While it makes some very amusing and confusing mistakes, we usually get the message. So, if any of you whose first language is not English have a long and complex idea to share with us, write it in your language and do a Google translate. I would much prefer to read your thoughts in broken English frequently, than to not have your input because it takes hours to try and get your English perfect. If we don't understand something, we will ask. Please, join in. Your voices, no matter the accent, are pleasing. |

Your kind words mean so much to me - aww I can't stop smiling now! I'm from Finland and I'm only 16 years old... so I'm one of those younger fans, yay!!  Here's my Adam story: I probably saw Adam on American Idol a few times, but I wasn't really fan of the show so I didn't think much about it. Then when his first album was a huge hit in my country I listened to his songs and really liked them (back then my favorite was IIHY), but I didn't really know who Adam was (for a while I thought he was from Sweden actually, haha) BTW for a looooong time I also thougth ADAM won the American Idol, not Kris...  Okay so then some time went on and I just listened to him from my Ipod and pretty much knew all the lyrics from his biggest hits... but I only really started to pay attention to him (like most of the finns who weren't really fans but liked his music, I think) when he started dating our BB-winner, Sauli (whose fan I already was). It's a little embarrassing but I really became a fan back then even though I didn't even mean to. At first I just started to read all these fan-comments about them and their relationship (blushing) and somehow I just started to notice how beautiful he was - from inside out. I went trough all those old daily threads and stuff. I watched some videos, saw nice pictures, read his old tweets, watched interviews and kind of get to know him along the way, you know? He talked about important things and reminded me of myself a little bit actually (so I could easily understand where he was coming from). But what really maked me his fan was the Montreal Performance... I watched the videos (TALC) and cried!!! That Outlaws of Love performance... it just really touched my heart. There was no turning back then after that. I have his first album (the Tour Edition) and usually listen to it while going to sleep. I've grown to love all the songs of course but maybe my favorites are: Strut, Sleepwalker, Aftermath, Masterplan and WWFM. Adam brings so much light in my life; just today I was feeling really down and could only hum Sleepwalker to myself (I walk around and feel / so lost and lonely) when suddenly the sun came to view after so many weeks of dark clouds only (winter in Finland :()-- and Sleepwalkers lyrics turned into "everywhere we go we're looking for the sun"... He also maked me realaise that I shouldn't be so afraid of who I am - I have to love my self first in order to love the others. I've had some rough times in life and because of his gentle and wise spirit I'm finally starting to get back to my feet again. So thanks to all you amazing fans and sorry for my bad bad bad english (thanks for you kind words about that also - I try my best!)... Yay! I love berting. - Bertie |
