MY TAKE: It is really simple -- IF fans did not buy his first album, he would not get to do a second album. Every artist who is successful knows that they need to have fans buy their music, but few say it as directly as Adam does. In today's climate this is something that needs to be said more. I clearly remember hanging out on ONTD_AI and seeing some of the young things there as they discovered the notion that if the album did not sell enough copies then Adam wouldn't get to make another one. These kids who happily downloaded anything and everything they could get their hands on for free really did not truly understand that without sales the artist could not continue to put out albums. So many people go through life without ever considering the consequences of their actions. So true. My teen son thinks exactly the same and that's why he thinks Adam is as rich as Gaga and Katy. And I told him he should at least support his favorite artists otherwise he will end up only hear Bieber on the radio. ;D Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!Adam made it to my top 30. I heard it while I was driving this morning. That's fast! |

Yeah, I wonder why Adam keeps saying if it wasn't for his fans he may not have been making this 2nd album. That doesn't compute for me. He's said it at least 3 times now... Because we buy everything he puts out and then some.. He did sell over a million CDS of' For your Entertainment' World Wide. Not bad for a first album. We support Adam in all ways,so he is thankful and IMHO he feels that we helped to fuel his new album and the ability for him to do so in his own way. Someone on Adamtopia mentioned that Adam would be her charity this year,I feel the same way.Maybe this birthday could belong to Adam . I know I've bought many copies of both BTIKM and Trespassing ,I have put away a certain amount to buy many more copies of the album to gift.I kind of miss the Alaskan doctor who gifted and gifted.. Is she still around? |

Adam Lambert has finally come out of hiding to start promotion for his new amazing single “Better Than I Know Myself” – and what a better way than to start than by performing on Jay Leno and then The Ellen Degeneres Show. As always, Adam slayed both of his performances and sounded almost better than the actual recording. He is surely addicted to snail slime because Adam is looking radiantly younger than when we last saw him. A case of Benjamin Button? I think so! (links to both vids, but LOL, the Tonight Show one is someone taking a bad video of their TV. Has NBC been ~that ruthless?)

We put our deposit down on the condo before seeing the blueprints. We're committed, we're not afraid to invest, we can weather the ride. I imagine that kind of backing was noticed by the label and AFL feels it's important to let us know that he recognizes it too. That's how I see it. |

Does anyone remember indenting 5 spaces for new paragraphs or leaving 2 spaces between sentences? Yup. And I still pine away for my IBM Selectric typewriter (correctable, of course). |

Welcome Kamar and Bertiebotts and all the other new ones I've missed  Nice to have you all here and hear your stories  . You won't see me much here, I'm always late in catching up with News so mostly just lurking when ever I have time. There are also days I have no time at all for News :-/ so the Q3's frontpages are my news-lifeline. Maria - have fun at the Nightwish concert! |
