Rapidly coming to the conclusion that in this fandom, the proviso should always be 'consider the source' before giving too much credence to opinions! So many agendas........... OMG, so true. The two radio people who have "heard things" are a major KA fan a creepily major David A fan. How convenient. Jeez, from now on the only radio people I will worry about is someone on say Elvis Duran's level. But then, someone like this I think would be too professional even if he did "hear things" to spread it around like these two. Speaking of Elvis Duran....c'mon Z100! :D

Well that is a bit creepy how into David Archuletta she is!  This is Buffalo NY's KISS station. The station's website and Mediabase lists her as an on-air host and Music Director --- not PD. www.kiss985.com/Contact-Us/5673204So she has a role in the music programming but reports to the PD who is responsible for the playlist. ETA: Setting that aside -- fans who harass anyone at radio stations really are not helping Adam. Not everyone love every song, best to ignore this stuff. ETA #2: I am working still so can't look it up but wasn't this station a pretty early adder for WWFM? And didn't they play it a lot? So what if they did? It probably wasn't due to Ms Shannon anyway. Sorry but seeing her fangirling over DA put things way in perspective. |

Has this been posted? From some program director in New York. @shannonssteele *pretty much everyone I know in programming is disappointed. It won't go very far up the charts. Unfortunate because I'm a big fan of him as a artist! *you're forgetting three important words: in my opinion! I'm all about open dialogue but will not tolerate being bullied about my opinion. I've programmed radio for a long time, I'm extremely good at it. *not even close! The reviews from actual critics are not good. Only 131 plays in the entire country this week, 31of those overnight *hey now, don't be angry, that tude is uncalled for. And being treated like this will ensure the song doesn't get played!
*my dear YOU are making fans of this amazing artist look bad.This is just plain childish. Yes, I'm well aware that some fans are rude toward anyone who disses Adam. But this "If you're not nice to me I'll take my ball and go home" attitude is ridiculous for someone in the public eye. Adam puts up with a lot of online crap from people who don't like him--probably more than this woman ever dreamed of--and he doesn't seek vengeance on them. It's called being an adult. What's worse, this woman is threatening to seek vengeance on Adam (by not playing his song) for things that a few misguided fans have said. Grow the fuck up, lady. Adam can't control his entire fan base, and his sensible fans can't control the obnoxious ones. Lumping everyone together is the very definition of prejudice. I'm really sick of these power-mad radio people threatening to derail Adam's career because they can't overlook some nasty tweets. |

I must say, I don't get that "Idol fan" thing. I was on MJ for 1 day and I had enough. I was under impression that people there can't grow up with their Idols. Adam, Kris, Kelly/whatever are not Idols any more. They are artists with their own unique visions and ways of expression. I think that some fans need to understand that seasons 1-10 AI are over and move on.

I personally am not worried about the single yet...but it's the cries of doom from certain peeps that have worn me down into a tiny disgruntled nub. I wanna cry WELL IF IT SUX THAT MUCH WHY DON'T YOU GTFO OUTTA THIS FANDOM THEN?!?!?! Debbie Downer does not begin to describe how I view the doomsday scenarios. Not to criticize other posters, but JFC, why when faced with "what ifs" do some people always choose the worst possible outcome. Claim you are being realistic if you want, but my reality aims for a happier place. I've left twice to regroup, but I think I'll live in la la land for the rest of the day. I've been accused of being a Pollyanna, but it sure as hell beats being Chicken Little. I really thought the cover art high would last a little longer. One reason I hate when the screen widens for a pic and I have to choose between seeing the entire post or seeing the person posting is there are a few who I remember even from PF who are always prepared to rain on any parade that is passing by. Delete me if you must, ban me, whatever, but I'm going to my happy place. I'm still not worried... like I said I have to much on my plate in RL to worry about compare to this, I just cannot afford to worry.... Plus it doesn't do Adam and us any good clutching our pearls right now, what can we do to change it???? If we keep asking the radio stations to play the song like the first round it will irritate them and they will even refused to play it. IMO the only way to change this has to come from RCA and If Adam come to their stations, granted they will play it. Adam did visit Z100 & WLPJ in NY and they play WWFM like crazy. Adam have only few supporters now in US now, SF & Q102 are few of them. I need to see if 93.3FL has added the song ... Anyway.. what's Pollyana and Chicken Little?? ??? ??? |
