Soo..... I found something fun while procrastinating. Anyone who wants to listen to BTIKM on the radio, this tune-it site tracks many (but not all, I'm sure) of the stations that are playing Adam RIGHT NOW, with links to stream the stations live on air.I just listened to BTIKM on a Pennsylvania station (complete with DJ comments to check out the cover art), two california stations, an Oz station, and a South African one. tunein.com/radio/Adam-Lambert-m466581/There isn't always a station playing Adam at every moment, but if you click on the blue call numbers of the stations near the top of the first page you will see the last time they played him. If you have a little patience, the next on air play seems to come up every few minutes. Ooooh! I can listen to Fever on German radio right now!

My opinion- Adam fans going to a site that is known for kicking Adam to the curb and stomping on his head over every little thing can expect to leave there all doom and gloom and the sky is falling. I liken it to an alcholic going into a bar and thinking they're not going to be affected or not fall off the wagon completely. Why visit those poisonous sites? I haven't caught up with the thread, and maybe should keep my opinions to myself anyway since I'm a bit of a non-entity here - but just for the record, I was pushed a bit over the edge this morning by what I was reading in the numbers thread on this very site. So please don't assume that the direct cause is always sites where haters and butthurt abound. And for what it's worth, I don't consider the questioning I did of RCA's handling of BTIKM being a "Debbie Downer" or claiming that the sky is falling. I've been consistently confused by RCA's actions in connection with the song, and if they're disappointed in its performance, I genuinely believe they have nobody to blame but themselves. I just don't want any mishandling on RCA's part to cost Adam valuable momentum for his all-important second era, especially because by all accounts, he has held up his end of the bargain magnificently. Does RCA want Adam to succeed? Of course. Are they willing to do what it will take to make that happen? I can only assume so. Have I seen them do it yet? Don't know - I'm not impressed with what I've seen so far, but acknowledge there is undoubtedly a lot going on behind the scenes that I have no way of knowing about. Do I feel guilty about venting a bit this morning? Nope. But I doubt I'll do it again here.

Has this been posted? From some program director in New York. @shannonssteele *pretty much everyone I know in programming is disappointed. It won't go very far up the charts. Unfortunate because I'm a big fan of him as a artist! *you're forgetting three important words: in my opinion! I'm all about open dialogue but will not tolerate being bullied about my opinion. I've programmed radio for a long time, I'm extremely good at it. *not even close! The reviews from actual critics are not good. Only 131 plays in the entire country this week, 31of those overnight *hey now, don't be angry, that tude is uncalled for. And being treated like this will ensure the song doesn't get played! *my dear YOU are making fans of this amazing artist look bad. This is just plain childish. Yes, I'm well aware that some fans are rude toward anyone who disses Adam. But this "If you're not nice to me I'll take my ball and go home" attitude is ridiculous for someone in the public eye. Adam puts up with a lot of online crap from people who don't like him--probably more than this woman ever dreamed of--and he doesn't seek vengeance on them. It's called being an adult. What's worse, this woman is threatening to seek vengeance on Adam (by not playing his song) for things that a few misguided fans have said. Grow the fuck up, lady. Adam can't control his entire fan base, and his sensible fans can't control the obnoxious ones. Lumping everyone together is the very definition of prejudice. I'm really sick of these power-mad radio people threatening to derail Adam's career because they can't overlook some nasty tweets. I went over to her tweet feed, and she actually called a person that had tweeted her a liar. ShannonSSteele: @runsawaysu: see! YOU make berts look bad by acting like that. Why can't you tell me which radio station? Because you are lying #notcoolTurns out the tweeter didn't see her question, and answered it with names of radio stations that were playing BTIKM. susan @runawaysu Reply @shannonssteele ChumFM in Toronto, It's been doing good on it!! Top 5 last week and today! runsawaysu: @shannonssteele I don't follow you so I didn't see all your questions to what station, when I did I answered, how was I not cool? sorry!! :( This lady is on a serious power trip, and is proably bipolar big time! One minute, she loves Adam and his fans, next minute BTIKM will never get played on her station. She just doesn't like the song, has been in the business a long time, and she trusts her ears. Unless the song blows up big time, then she will add it. She also said that when a station gets 10 calls in an hour for one song, they know it is from a fan club, and will not play the song. That whole feed is a trip

I can't put into words how much I love the album cover. Every time I see it posted I am overwhelmed with emotions. It needs to be on every page at least once.

I'm really sick of these power-mad radio people threatening to derail Adam's career because they can't overlook some nasty tweets. A little background. I was in a conversation with Shannon when this was going on. Unbeknownst to me, others were also having a conversation. I inadvertently said something she perceived as being angry (which was not intended, as I was not feeling angry at the time at all, just confused). As soon as I realized she had taken my question in a manner which was not intended, I apologized repeatedly and attempted to clarify. She did accept my apology and ended up following me, saying she appreciated my passion and she loves to discuss music who feel the same. We continued our discussion via DM and it was about radio in general. She was cool and she has answered questions of fans. And still is today. The things I didn't get (and quite honestly still don't), is her original blanket statement that it "wasn't a good song" and is "not being well-received by the critics." I asked, "What critics are those? Every review we have seen from the music media – Billboard, Rolling Stone, MTV, etc. etc. has been overwhelmingly positive." (Again, not trying to be confrontational, just genuinely confused since this was contrary to everything we had heard or read. Are the "critics" she's talking about different than the music media critics? I truly didn't know.) Somehow her tone switched from the "Radio Gods On High have deemed it Not A Good Song," to "This is my opinion only." Well, of course, those are two very different things, IMO, and why I was confused in the first place. Presenting your subjective opinions as fact is what lent to the confusion in the first place. Was she saying, She didn't care for it as a song? Or the entire Sekrit Society of Radio PDs didn't care for it? And if so, why? And who are these people? I did ask about comparables – meaning why is one song considered "good," while another is not. I think that's a fair question from anyone who listens to the radio. I would ask the same question if she was telling me what laundry detergent is "good" and which is "bad" and why I should use one over the other. Anyway, all is water under the bridge. It was her opinion. Still don't get the mysterious, unknown "critics," and I TRULY don't get any blanket indictment of BTIKM as a song. I'm sorry, I listen to a lot of radio and I TRULY think it is on par with 95% of what is played. But she and I chatted and she ended up being very nice. We discussed radio in general and I conveyed some of my feelings about what I perceive as major inconsistencies in the L.A. market for instance. She agreed and gave some insight. Adam was not mentioned again and all was copacetic.

Many MANY peeps have expressed confusion about the roll-out, right from the beginning. I feel wishy-washy about the entire issue of radio. I have said several times in the past that NOBODY I know listens much to radio anymore, anyway. I'm talking mainly about the teenagers and peeps into their 20s, even 30s. They all get their music from friends, and they discover new music ONLINE, NEVER ON THE RADIO. Q3 has said similar things in the past: "Whether we like it or not -- people who are under 40 now are more likely to learn about new music from a shared playlist or free mixtape released by the artist or streaming media -- and not from radio. Genie is out of the bottle[/color].[/i]" adamtopia.com/index.cgi?board=daily&action=display&thread=582&page=7#ixzz1f7ulqVpTAnd, "For Global artists, like Beyonce and Adam, the US radio charts are meaningful but not life or death. The US used to be about half the world's music sales and US broadcast radio was essential to a pop artist. Now the US is around 25% of music sales and the Internet and Cable TV have reduced the importance of radio. The majority of pop music buyers DO NOT even listen to broadcast radio on a regular basis."adamtopia.com/index.cgi?board=daily&action=display&thread=404&page=3#ixzz1SfelOZSLFor me, personally, I don't really give a teeny rat's ass about radio. I think it's becoming less and less relevant. And every time I hear about a DJ or Program Director getting all self-important and "above their station" (pun intended), I'm like...
