You know with all the talk about BTIKM and it's radio add/non-add numbers, being played/not being played on radio, RCA'S promotion/non-promotion of it etc., I just keep remembering a post Q3 did sometime back where she talked about and gave numbers of great/iconic bands and artists that didn't have that many #1 hits on radio. But history has shown their longevity and iconic status. (Wish I still had her post.) That's what I hope for Adam...longevity and to be appreciated for being the 'one in a generation' talent of his generation. So when Adam news gets 'interesting' I just remember Q3's post and I keep looking forward...keeping my eyes on the prize!! I mentioned months ago that Adam is getting more and more respect in the industry. For those who want Adam to be Bieber or Lady Gaga I think you are barking up the wrong tree. He is an artist who is looking for longevity as well as top 10 or top 20 success but he may not be someone who immediately jumps onto the countdown and is adopted by the masses. The worrying and gnashing of teeth may mean you need to find a more accessible artist who compromises and has music that entails a repeated chorus and basic lyrics. If Adam plays his cards right he will be around for a lifetime experiencing success and respect but the success may not be the in your face Lady Gaga type. Time to man up people and decide if you can be realistic and still optimistic or if you are expecting things that may never happen and compromises that Adam is not anxious to make. He has a great life right now and will continue to make the money to do what he wants but not in the P Diddy category. I couldn't wait to sign in and celebrate the single and the cover but I seem to have taken a wrong turn. As usual this is just my opinion but I think some of you need a reality check to go with your Abilify. I think you took exactly the right turn. Thank You. |

Soo..... I found something fun while procrastinating. Anyone who wants to listen to BTIKM on the radio, this tune-it site tracks many (but not all, I'm sure) of the stations that are playing Adam RIGHT NOW, with links to stream the stations live on air.I just listened to BTIKM on a Pennsylvania station (complete with DJ comments to check out the cover art), two california stations, an Oz station, and a South African one. tunein.com/radio/Adam-Lambert-m466581/There isn't always a station playing Adam at every moment, but if you click on the blue call numbers of the stations near the top of the first page you will see the last time they played him. If you have a little patience, the next on air play seems to come up every few minutes. Ooooh! I can listen to Fever on German radio right now!
  On a million drugs (I never take drugs) but I will behave myself as long as restricted activity does not involve giving up Adam! Thank you so much for your support, prayers and concern  I LOVE this post! Guys - this is so much fun. You can listen to Adam played anywhere (as long as the station streams) and maybe there are pick ups we don't even know about. yay... glad you're home ;D ;D |

I haven't had a chance to read through the entire thread, so forgive me if this has been hashed through before...but the dearth of adds so far is distressing, but so, so very inexplicable to me. I hate being one of those fans that has to find excuses for everything, but is there any truth to the possibility that we all have the add date wrong and it's really next week?
It is just beyond bizarre that radio is ignoring an artist with one big hit, one medium hit, a great deal of buzz and a huge online presence.
