I mentioned months ago that Adam is getting more and more respect in the industry. For those who want Adam to be Bieber or Lady Gaga I think you are barking up the wrong tree. He is an artist who is looking for longevity as well as top 10 or top 20 success but he may not be someone who immediately jumps onto the countdown and is adopted by the masses. The worrying and gnashing of teeth may mean you need to find a more accessible artist who compromises and has music that entails a repeated chorus and basic lyrics. Or it could mean we know the importance of radio play for someone who wants to be a pop artist. It could also mean that we are fans who are here EVERYDAY and we care about how Adam's singles and how his album does. Most of us have been following Adam on a daily basis for three years. We are members of other boards and many of us defend him on Idol boards. We buy everything he has to offer, attend multiple concerts, promote him to our family and friends, spend time voting in polls and requesting his songs on our local stations! Sorry if you don't understand us being a little worried after some of the things we've seen the past couple of days. People have different ways of handling things and some of us need to talk through our feelings of worry. Most of us are women and we talk and discuss when we feel certain emotions. It helps us that some of the other fans are feeling the same way. We worry because WE CARE! (BTW, Bieber's songs don't get in the top 10.) ;D *claps*

THR Hollywood Reporter .@adamlambert to '@gleeonfox': Call Me #americanidol shar.es/f3y9P4 minutes ago Adam Lambert Reveals Dream 'Glee' Gig; Respects Show's 'Brave Agenda'The "American Idol" season 8 runner-up talks about the Fox show's appeal and what role he sees for himself on a future episode. 6:20 PM PST 1/24/2012 by Shirley Halperin Adam Lambert is itching to get on Glee. The American Idol season 8 runner-up thinks the Fox show is “so cute” in that it “really paints a picture of what it’s like to be an arts kid in high school. Glee is really irresistible -- it's charming.” So where’s Lambert’s walk-on invite, Glee powers-that be? “I don't know, ask them,” Lambert tells the Hollywood Reporter. “I think there were murmurs about it. Hopefully, maybe now that I have some new music, I could go on there.” Lambert's second full-length album, Trespassing, is due out this Spring. As for who he could potentially play? The answer should come as no surprise to the scores of Glamberts, but to their delight. “I want to just be me,” he says. “Why do I have to be a fictional character?” Still, Lambert freely admits he didn’t always feel so warm and fuzzy about the hit series. “When Glee first came out, I was like, ‘I don't really like this show,’” he says. “But now I watch it... And you know what? I do think the show has an agenda, but I respect the agenda. I think it's a very brave agenda to try to push. I think that they're one of the few people that are doing it. So it's definitely one of a kind and very revolutionary in that way.”

Ahhh Keyboard.....the single and cover are amazing. You're in the right neighborhood. I second that, keyboard. I totally agree with everything you said. I just have to jump on this bandwagon. Keyboard sums things up really well for me. Some of it reminds me of the tortoise and hare analogy. Slow and steady will get you where you want to go. Adam wants a career and longevity in the business. He was given a lot of control over the album and he will do what he needs to do to be successful. Perhaps Adam's success will be more continental than just USA.

You know with all the talk about BTIKM and it's radio add/non-add numbers, being played/not being played on radio, RCA'S promotion/non-promotion of it etc., I just keep remembering a post Q3 did sometime back where she talked about and gave numbers of great/iconic bands and artists that didn't have that many #1 hits on radio. But history has shown their longevity and iconic status. (Wish I still had her post.) That's what I hope for Adam...longevity and to be appreciated for being the 'one in a generation' talent of his generation. So when Adam news gets 'interesting' I just remember Q3's post and I keep looking forward...keeping my eyes on the prize!! If Adam plays his cards right he will be around for a lifetime experiencing success and respect but the success may not be the in your face Lady Gaga type. Time to man up people and decide if you can be realistic and still optimistic or if you are expecting things that may never happen and compromises that Adam is not anxious to make. He has a great life right now and will continue to make the money to do what he wants but not in the P Diddy category. I couldn't wait to sign in and celebrate the single and the cover but I seem to have taken a wrong turn. As usual this is just my opinion but I think some of you need a reality check to go with your Abilify. I agree with a lot of your post. I may have stated it a little differently. Just a Mars vs. Venus thing. It's a different era. This is Adam the artist vs Adam the personality and AI contestant. The playing field is a little different. IShhhh!!! Let's saying where Adam is going with this. The rollercoaster has taken a turn into uncharted territory. Scared, terrified and exhilarated to see where this is going. There should be a couple of green faces on the roller coaster smileys. However, cray cray as I am. I am still smiling.

It wasn't confirmed? I thought Roger said that they were going to be playing at the Olympics, in one of those L.A. interviews after the EMA's? Oh yes, Queen is confirmed (per Roger), but we don't know if Adam+Queen is confirmed. Well, duh, who else are they going to sing with? : Well "according" to Adam it seems like there's few performances lined up, and not just one. So I'm happy! And he'll be doing his own music as well!!! Gah, that'll be some really good promo right there!!

I haven't had a chance to read through the entire thread, so forgive me if this has been hashed through before...but the dearth of adds so far is distressing, but so, so very inexplicable to me. I hate being one of those fans that has to find excuses for everything, but is there any truth to the possibility that we all have the add date wrong and it's really next week? It is just beyond bizarre that radio is ignoring an artist with one big hit, one medium hit, a great deal of buzz and a huge online presence. Maybe they just can't get past that he's gay and he's from idol. Those two things alone are not favorites of DJs and PDs. This is why Adam couldn't get signed to begin with. My guess is that Adam will find success in other ways such as singing with Queen and touring and hopefully decent album sales. I have never had high expectations that he would ever be a number 1 single seller or a multi million album seller. It just ain't going to happen to a gay guy, sorry. We've all noticed how he is doing his promo in the UK right away and leaving the single to do it's own thing here in the good ole homophobic US of A. They know where he will be accepted more readily and seem to be concentrating on the market he can reach rather than putting all their eggs in the American basket. I think all we can wish for at this point is for him to blow up really big overseas and in the UK and hopefully see that filter back to the states. If it were me in control, that is the way I would go about it because I have no confidence in America to be acccepting of anyone who is not straight as an arrow, sad as that is. :
