OK, now I'm gonna put something out there that might earn me flames, or a barrage of rotten tomatoes and eggs. But I think it's time someone said it. With everything in me, I believe that the sublime Adam is the best artist out there, that no one else compares to, the best to come along in decades, and in a perfectly logical universe he should be as much of a legend as Elvis or Freddie or MJ. And that still may happen, and I truly want it to. But I also believe that even if the gods are cruel and Adam never quite reaches those heights, he'll still have a long and highly successful career. Would it be so terrible if things go that way for him, if his music doesn't automatically shoot to the top of the charts, but he has a large legion of diehard followers around the world who support him and buy his music for years to come? I think Adam could live with that kind of success. I can think of more than a few artists who have a devoted fan base and continue to make great music, and have sold out concert halls, and sold albums for years even though they may have topped the charts only once or twice in their careers. Names like Chris Isaak and Neil Young and kd lang and Heart's Ann Wilson come to mind, kd and Ann especially because they're two of the best female voices in pop history. Could you count any of these people as losers because their record or ticket sales don't match Gaga's or Katy Perry's or *choke* Bieber's? Hardly. The passion of the Glamberts (now there's a movie title, if there ever was one) is a wondrous thing, but sometimes I wish this fandom weren't quite so bipolar. Seems like one minute we're flailing over gushing reviews of Trespassing or its melt-your-underwear-off cover photo, and the next minute we're in despair because BTIKM isn't getting more radio play, or we're raging over a toolish Seacrest interview. It's exhausting! Try thinking this way: Adam is doing all he can to put himself and his music out there. The Glamberts are doing all they can to spread the gospel of AFL. Adam counts real industry biggies among his fans. His label is behind him. He. Is. Not. Gonna. Fail. Been scrolling like a mofo..had to bring this post back once again from earlier today..ITA Theosgma...You're home!!! Take care, bb!! Wal, thanks for posting part 1 of Lyndsey's interview (Adam does reside in parallel universes..the audio vs the video was a hoot.. ;D) Another great interview..can't wait for 'Parts to come'! ETA: Keyboard!!

You know with all the talk about BTIKM and it's radio add/non-add numbers, being played/not being played on radio, RCA'S promotion/non-promotion of it etc., I just keep remembering a post Q3 did sometime back where she talked about and gave numbers of great/iconic bands and artists that didn't have that many #1 hits on radio. But history has shown their longevity and iconic status. (Wish I still had her post.) That's what I hope for Adam...longevity and to be appreciated for being the 'one in a generation' talent of his generation. So when Adam news gets 'interesting' I just remember Q3's post and I keep looking forward...keeping my eyes on the prize!! I mentioned months ago that Adam is getting more and more respect in the industry. For those who want Adam to be Bieber or Lady Gaga I think you are barking up the wrong tree. He is an artist who is looking for longevity as well as top 10 or top 20 success but he may not be someone who immediately jumps onto the countdown and is adopted by the masses. The worrying and gnashing of teeth may mean you need to find a more accessible artist who compromises and has music that entails a repeated chorus and basic lyrics. If Adam plays his cards right he will be around for a lifetime experiencing success and respect but the success may not be the in your face Lady Gaga type. Time to man up people and decide if you can be realistic and still optimistic or if you are expecting things that may never happen and compromises that Adam is not anxious to make. He has a great life right now and will continue to make the money to do what he wants but not in the P Diddy category. I couldn't wait to sign in and celebrate the single and the cover but I seem to have taken a wrong turn. As usual this is just my opinion but I think some of you need a reality check to go with your Abilify. ;D ;D ;D ;D

I do applaud Keyboards post and love the single and the cover....but I did/do want world domination....I want it all. Though if I were honest, I'd wish him many more years like the one he just had. Time to have a home live, discover love and create his music.
He looks so incredibly happy, it must be the right thing.

I don't know if this has been posted yet, I haven't been able to read all 36 pages, but just in case, Fault magazine is giving us the chance to put a deposit on the issue with Adam. Here is the link to check it out. www.facebook.com/FAULTMag?sk=app_190322544333196

Is there a good video of Leno that has been ripped so I can download it? Or do we have to watch it on other sites?
That was the night I went down a very different rabbit hole so I was not part of the whole hoopla and follow up and would love to have a video.
Wow. I posted a lot tonight. Must be that new avi!

Late to the party but are there any lollies left??? *Puts sunglasses on in anticipation*
I'm watching the State of the Union address and need some lolly assistance! (the US President's annual speech to congress which is always an event). Good speech, but a lolly is always a good thing.
In regards to any angsting here, I am in the "happy, happy, joy, joy" club. It's all good!

The Lyndsey intervew is the best yet! Even with personal topics, she got every question back to the music and how it related to the songs. Very impressed, since she is probably flailing and squeeing under her "cool!"
