But, WWFM had a better start. That song got all the album promo, and it also had some key stations giving it great spins out the gate (Z100, for example). WWFM wasn't an "instant hit," but it had a lot better traction. RCA should have had some big markets lined up for this single. And if that wasn't going to happen, they should have picked a different song. This album just sounds so incredible. I just want Adam to be in the best position possible come March when it is released. eta: sorry if this doesn't make sense, the post I was responding to was edited.  |

We have actually heard it. Well, not all of it. But we were treated to a five-track preview the other day and we've got to say, we've not had this good a feeling about an album since we heard an advance copy of 21 by Adele
The title track in particular will be a monster hit if there's any justice in the world.
Featuring a stupendously addictive bassline courtesy of co-producer Pharrell Williams, funky Brian May-esque rock guitar, and a wicked vocal from Adam, it's the most filthy/gorgeous slice of dancefloor-friendly pop we've heard since the first Scissor Sisters album.

Fuck this shit...I will support Adam by buying his album and stuff, but it is not my JOB to push his single/etc to success. That is his LABELS job and wtf if RCA ain't gonna do their job then I sure as hell am not gonna purchase 100 copies and bug every radio station every day....I have my own job, I don't need another one that won't pay me shit. I am just not that invested as a fan, i.e. someone will buy a ton of copies and gift and hit up every poll. I just never have been. I want him to succeed but I want RCA to do what they need to do--and hopefully they will and we are just being impatient as usual--and not have the success of this project rest strictly on the fanbase's shoulders and nothing else. Fuck that shit. #myeyeshurtandIamgrumpy You and I are on the same page.. plus is teaches the label squat about how to pick the right single. |

I have been requesting the song on mediabase from our local HAC channel--Q102 Cincinnati. And, they did play BTIKM on Sunday morning's "Next Big Thing" show again. The DJ intro'd it with--"This is the song I get more requests for--Adam Lambert fans LOOOOVE Adam Lambert." But, they still have not "added" it officially yet. Frankly, I really am not worried about it. I did not hear WWFM on this station until probably early February 2010; Adam performed it on Idol in mid-April. My HAC station was spinning it every hour or so in May. These things take some time to build. He has just started promoting it and the single sales are not going to be high until outside-the-fandom people start hearing it on radio or other places. A lot of people are just frugal and waiting to buy it with the album. To play devil's advocate, it is possible that Adam will never get a lot of radio support, but a lot of artists who are very successful are not played all the time on radio. I mean, I have only ever heard one Muse song on the radio, and haven't heard them in ages. I have never heard Bieber on the radio. They way they play the same songs over and over, I can barely take the radio anyway. I know it's important, but I just can't work up any angst over this anymore. I think BTIKM is a great song, it DOES get stuck in your head, and if they played it over and over on the radio, sales would go up for sure. But I don't think my requesting the hell out of it is going to get it there any sooner. And nothing can make me listen to the local Kiss Top 40 channel--argh, that is torture and I can't go through that even for Adam! If this album is as great as it sounds, then the success will eventually follow. With all the hard work Adam is willing to do, the great interviews he gives, the attention he might receive in the future from performing with Queen, and of course, his great fanbase, I think he will do just fine. We want it all for him right now, but sometimes, these things just take time to build. We can only push so much as fans. And I too am burnt out on these polls, etc. Ok, done with my mini-rant! Btw, that album cover is gorgeous and yes, it will attract people in the store! P.S. Chunkey, I love you!  |

Ok. This is gonna be totally OT, so I'll understand if the admin deletes my post. I just wrote my test in school and have a very bad feeling of it. A person studies all days long and things go completely wrong. Don't know what to do right now as it was very important... Thank you all for this fandom which is the only thing that always makes me smile. At least, I'm happy that Adam is happy.ETA: Please, don't be angry with me because of my depressive mood... Maybe troublesome people should have never been born. That's the truth. Everyone probably remembers the feeling. I think it's part of the whole school experience. I hope you do much better than you fear. I, also, hope you know that depression is normal. If it lasts too long, you should talk to your doctor about it. OT sorta Anyone else have the dream about taking having to take finals in a class that you didn't even know you had? How about the dream where you show up in school naked or wearing your pajamas? I once dreamed that I and my whole family got on the bus naked.  LOL!!!!!! I was thinking about the reoccurring dream I had up until 7 years ago about bombing a calculus final before I even finished reading your post. Ame - hang in there. I don't mean to be nonchalant about your feeling, but in the big scheme of things this is a smaller one. I don't know you... however I imagine you have your health, a roof over your head, food to eat, people who love you and no one has died recently. Maybe it is age and experience, but I no long worry about the smaller stuff. After living through some rough times you realize how fixable most situations are in reality. I used to lose sleep worrying about tests and my job performance. I was extremely uptight and driven, so I'm very familiar with these feelings.. Again HANG IN THERE. and I hope you get your test results back quickly. ~~~~~~~ On another note... Does anyone know what is the first date we think Adam will be overseas? |

I will probably give BTIKM a few more weeks , the video is coming out very soon. I only purchase one copy of everything digital and hard copy, Adam needs music buyer from the general public. Well I am not angst at all, this is how Pop music work. Great catchy song, great return. People may be waiting for the release of the whole album before they make decision. But I have faith in Adam. ETA: If Adam can survive FYE fallout, he can overcome everything in this Era. |
