Can someone please enlighten me? Why all the weeping and wailing over this Toby Knapp person's comments? Is he the All-Powerful Ruler of the Airwaves, or something? Exactly how much influence does he have over what's played on radio stations throughout the U.S.? OK, now I'm gonna put something out there that might earn me flames, or a barrage of rotten tomatoes and eggs. But I think it's time someone said it. With everything in me, I believe that the sublime Adam is the best artist out there, that no one else compares to, the best to come along in decades, and in a perfectly logical universe he should be as much of a legend as Elvis or Freddie or MJ. And that still may happen, and I truly want it to. But I also believe that even if the gods are cruel and Adam never quite reaches those heights, he'll still have a long and highly successful career. Would it be so terrible if things go that way for him, if his music doesn't automatically shoot to the top of the charts, but he has a large legion of diehard followers around the world who support him and buy his music for years to come? I think Adam could live with that kind of success. I can think of more than a few artists who have a devoted fan base and continue to make great music, and have sold out concert halls, and sold albums for years even though they may have topped the charts only once or twice in their careers. Names like Chris Isaak and Neil Young and kd lang and Heart's Ann Wilson come to mind, kd and Ann especially because they're two of the best female voices in pop history. Could you count any of these people as losers because their record or ticket sales don't match Gaga's or Katy Perry's or *choke* Bieber's? Hardly. The passion of the Glamberts (now there's a movie title, if there ever was one) is a wondrous thing, but sometimes I wish this fandom weren't quite so bipolar. Seems like one minute we're flailing over gushing reviews of Trespassing or its melt-your-underwear-off cover photo, and the next minute we're in despair because BTIKM isn't getting more radio play, or we're raging over a toolish Seacrest interview. It's exhausting! Try thinking this way: Adam is doing all he can to put himself and his music out there. The Glamberts are doing all they can to spread the gospel of AFL. Adam counts real industry biggies among his fans. His label is behind him. He. Is. Not. Gonna. Fail. OR WHAT SHE SAID!!

My thoughts regarding BTIKM is much along the lines of what Lindsay Parker said....that it is a reintroduction of Adam to the American manstream...also it sets the tone for his re-branding. I firmly believe that Cuckoo & Tresspassing will really take him to the next level, based on the reviews, thus far, and then all of his other songs, like BTIKM and perhaps even some from FYE, will get more airplay, etc.

I refuse to get into doom and gloom yet - as far as I'm concerned BTIKM is just getting started and promo has only just begun.
I may not be remembering this correctly since I don't follow Kelly C at all - but I would swear that a few weeks into Mr Know It All, her fans on twitter were going on and on about it being a dud and RCA should scrap it and go wiht a new single. Hmmmm... nowdays I can't even turn on my radio without hearing that song. Seems to have done pretty well for a dud that should get scrapped....

Just a few words. Adam is not Gaga to release a song and become N.1 in a day. It takes time. Adam his mgm and WE, are doing our best. What we can do, and we're already doing in, is to show him that we love him and we're here for him.
Like his last tweet
adamlambert Adam Lambert Thank you for all your kind words of encouragement! Can't wait for you all to hear it!!
With the fear that someone will tell me that I'm living in the clouds again, I would say sit back and enjoy the promo time. And promo time is amazing so far. Too early for angsting IMO. TOO EARLY.

why are people flipping tits over BTIKM? JFC this week is the official adds... it's up to #41 on HOT AC already and anytime a song is just outside the top 40 BEFORE it even goes for adds that's a GOOD THING!! RCA is doing their job. The released the song MOST likely to get Adam back on the radio and this week they will start pushing the song to radio. They lined him up with interviews, they are letting the media hear parts of the album and the reviews so far have been off the wall amazing. The promo just started. I think y'all let the haters get in your head sometimes and you start believing what they say about Adam failing. I have more faith in Adam than to believe or even worry that he'll fail. He'll make himself a success... he's got the drive, the talent AND the fan support to do it. so just calm down and relax... Adam's got this under control. "flipping tits" I agree 100% with your post.
