Some good news today - I'm so happy about #38 on HAC and the higher AI! The fat lady hasn't sung yet as far as this song goes. I'm glad because I really, really like it. As eager as I am for the others (especially Cuckoo, Trespassing, Shady - hell ALL of them) I don't want TPTB giving up on BTIKM. It's a good song and deserves its day in the sun. That Lyndsey Parker interview is wonderful. So much good information. I don't think Adam really needs an interviewer. Just give him a mike and a camera and GO! The guy is GOLD and RCA should be using his intelligence & charm to the fullest. And the QUEEN stuff - just GAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  |

@flyteness1 I was told it would be later than Feb and the second single is the one they are promoting! Know nothing else I'm afraidmaybe he got something wrong, because Shoshanna said yesterday, that BTIKM would go to radio this week. And she also has said, that he would come to UK February 2nd. But things could have changed. |

I would take anything Brooksyonair has to say with a very large grain of salt. !! He works for a very small regional radio station...I am sure Shoshanna has more up to date info than him !

Well, I don't know if that tweet is true, but if it is, that is the SMARTEST thing Adam's team has done yet. If BTIKM is struggling a bit in the US, it is going to have a lot of trouble in the UK. They have built SO much hype and buzz in England, they need a song that will keep the momentum going. They should choose whatever stands the best chance.
I have kind of a different theory about the whole new album pic thing. Twice in the last few days I have heard the word "rebranding" used with Adam. And maybe someone else called it a "reintroduction." As much as I think Adam likes, was ready for, and is comfortable with the more toned-down look, I also think it was a calculated move perhaps encouraged by his new management team. That is one of the reasons I am hoping so hard that this era is a great success, because I really think Adam is doing everything he can to gain acceptence with the mainstream public and radio (and I don't mean this in a negative way) His label/management really can't ask any more of him. It's like they are completely rebranding him to try to finally break those last, hard barriers.

But I agree that Adam could just do his own press conference. I also suspect that, like smart political candidates, Adam probably rehearsed for this round of interviews. By now he can pretty much predict the questions he will be asked, and prepare some responses and sound bites. he seems to have his talking points and is able to get them in to each interview. Smart boy. |
