So, I know this really belongs in the numbers thread, so please move if necessary.......but, BTIKM had a good day yesterday and today is number 38 on HAC, with a nice bullet.
And may I just say that I am a world class worrier, seriously. In fact I am so good at it that I am paid very well to do it professionally. I have had in the past sleepless nights over GNAFL, but I am totally zen about the whole situation now. What changed it all for me was his Queen performance. I only longed for a platform big enough for the world to see/ hear him and I knew once that happened all would be okay.

I know Adam will be iconic. I know it! Not because I'm so cool or so smart or so old. I know it because it has happened - the reconfiguration of me, from his voice and sensual self. I think of me as an experiment in time. Adam has entered the microcosmic, ATP, cellular structure and integration/interpretation of action, experience, experimentation, interaction, explosion, osmosis, concentration of me. Me. Whenever we begin to angst I return to my beginning of this. ADAM. Why worry? We are not intrigued with the ordinary! We are not communed with a voice of reason! IMHO,Adam is the Jackie Robinson of the music industry at this point. As Adam said there aren't many gay folks in music right now. He is alone ,during a huge push back against LGBT civil rights. Adam explained that movies and TV are a bit better now for gay performers,music not so much.He doesn't even have great support from his own team. His fans are his supporters and whether we want to admit it or not, when he said if it were't for us he wouldn't be making this second album. He meant it. He is telling us what is happening,are we listening? Is it too painful for us to see the up hill battle Adam has to be an artist in this country?I know ,I thought it would be easier to get Adam on air this time,but I believe it may even be harder. Look at the candidates running for president,listen to how Rick Santorum wants to reverse all gay rights,reverse all rights women have won, and take the vote away from the blacks.Our country is in a war of ideals. Adam sings of love for all ,trying to say I am you ,you are me,half the nation isn't buying it. Someday when there is actually equality in America ,I hope Adam receives all the recognition he deserves. He only wanted to be a singer,but he is 'Trespassing' and some may want to stop his music. This really resonates with me. I am Dutch, live in England now, but have also lived in New Orleans (and other countries too) and I find it incredible what is happening really all over the world. It almost feels as if there is a final push to go back to the old (ideas) before we as humanity can move forward and people like Adam are in a way there showing us what could be if we only let go. on Monday he will only go to a radio station in ulm which is about 120km (75 miles) away from munich. So he still could go to BRAVO, like the last time he was in Germany. It is the largest teen mag in Germany.
on Tuesday he will go to 4 stations: swr online in Badan-Baden(68 miles from Stuttgart and about 110 miles from Frankfurt), hr3 in Frankfurt. FFH and bigFM have a station, so I can only guess here. But for FFH it is probably Bad Vilbel as it is only 6 miles away from Frankfurt and it is the main station. Possibilities for bigFM are Stuttgart, Ludwigshafen, Mainz, maybe Koblenz.
It will be a exhausting day for Adam. :-/
and on Wednesday he will visit 2 stations in Berlin.
ETA: the cities for Tuesday has not been correct, I corrected them, as good as I could

Are these two of the right stations? for me to see him? unfortunately no, Berlin is the nearest one, but is about 230 miles away from were I live. Hamburg would have been nice, but the distances between the cities he visits on Monday and Tuesday are not that big and Berlin is the capital and the biggest city in Germany, so I'm ok with the schedule. |
