UK people, what exactly is Press Party? Part of my problem is I just have no idea who these British media people are. Are they considered an important music source? I just have absolutely no frame of reference. I rarely hear about Press Party, so I dunno. It might build some hype within the music press and as such Adam might have an easier time hitting the big radio stations, especially Radio 1 which is very make-or-break around here. I know he didn't manage it last time and it looks like he might not this time with BTIKM. That sort of music isn't very popular here at the moment, but Cuckoo sounds like something that could do very well here.

Does anyone have an idea of what kind of additional sales Adam might pick up this time around if the UK market gets on board? Okay, I'm a cranky type, but if the US radio ejits are too bigoted to give the album a chance, I do get to the point where I'm shrugging and saying, hey, it's a big, big world out there and they get it. If he can pick up some additional sales in the UK this time around, would that potentially push the album into Platinum territory, even with FYE-equivalent US sales? Certifications are given for sales in a country not worldwide and the number of albums/singles needed depends on the country. For example for a gold certification in the USA there are 500k alums/singles necassary, in Germany or UK only 100k for album (the number for singles seems to different). I think UK is not so important because of the sales, but because many(or even all?) European countries are watching which songs/artists are popular over there and if a song is a hit it is easier to become a hit in other European countries, too. So UK is not (only) important because the sales, but because of its influence in Europe.

You guys! I am flailing my arms off about the BTIKM preview! HOW CAN HE BE SO CUTE? And I need some help! A close friend of mine recently passed away and some of her friends have started a mailing list to keep in touch. I mentioned "my favorite recording artist" yesterday and the subject of floorgasms. Now they want to see a video. What is the best video/performance with a floorgasm? I could make 6 or 8 converts here if I play my cards right. These are all ladies 40s-60s. ;D 2010-12-16 Los Angeles, CA - Purple Haze, Whole Lotta Love *IMPROVED VERSION*Uploaded by terrapolision on Jan 3, 2011

Holy mother of god. That is absolutely stunning praise. THIS is what I’ve always wanted for Adam. I couldn’t care less whether or not he appeals to the masses and makes it as a mega star. And we already know his voice is unparalleled. But to have his sophomore effort critically praised for growth and confidence and style is absolute nirvana for me. (Hey, if there is any place to gush unashamedly about Adam, it's here, right? :-) ) ITA, thank you Postfestum!!! I'm not going to worry what their pedigree is regarding music because there can be stellar reviewers that are w small outlets and jaded reviewers w big outlets. They were signicant enough for Shoshanna's team to let them preview and again, Shosh has done some A-list launches, so she is connected at all levels of the industry. I will take their ~preview as their reaction as reviewers (something most, I think, take very seriously). It's not technically an album review, since they haven't heard it all. I'm hoping that since they have so many options still and we know of 10 songs, most of which someone has heard at some point, there will be very little filler.

Reviewers are loving this album I hope lots if peps are reading these besides his current fans and they buy it. It may take a fews months for it to take off but it sounds to good for anyone to ignore it.
How long did it take for Adele's album to take off?

The only way that US radio is going to come on board is to have Adam's songs requested. Seems a little "grass roots" but if Adam is out there pitching his ass off, I'm going to sit here once a day with my steaming cup of tea and make a few requests. And, when the stations ask for my age, I'm gonna LIE because as much as I want to be indignant, I know they are looking for a particular demographic. This is about getting Adam on the radio.

Oh, I agree, I don't think there will be much that is considered filler on this album. They are working right up to the deadline on this, so they aren't just slapping a few last songs on to get it done. I will admit, I don't know why they are going with BTIKM in the UK, when it seems right off the bat to be a song that's not going to be accepted where it counts. But, who knows. Did Kelly's MKIA get played on Radio 1? Cause if radio will play that... Again I LOVE the reviews! I'm just waiting to hear from RS and some other outlets. Then I will be able to completely flail
