Why doesn't Yahoo moderate their comment section on Lindsay Parker's site? God, the nastiness. Makes me sad. No way to report the jerks without a Facebook or Yahoo account, which I don't have... I reported them but they take 24 hours to review comments. Thank you so much for doing that Q3. Being technology-limited, I can only hop up and down in my office in a powerless rage, sputter, and try to place curses on them long-distance, which doesn't seem to slow them down too much. |

I think buying BTIKM for Adam's BD is a great idea. To keep things easy, just buy it on the 29th, where ever you are. As far as the tweet thing, that's a great idea too. I get so confused with the hashtag thing. Do you guys remember when Adam had the twitter party on Neil's birthday? The words "Does Neil" (without the quotes) started to trend because so many people started asking questions starting with -- Does Neil -- in a very short span of time. So, I'm not sure if the hashtag is important. What may be important is that we all try to send birthday wishes at about the same time. Does this sound right? Yeh, I think you're right about trying to get it to trend. The most important part is just getting the message out and retweeted. I was thinking the same thing about using BB also. I'm going to use something like @adamlambert Happy BDay Baby! Ive just downloaded a copy of Better Than I Know Myself to celebrate! Buy BTIKM 4 Adams BD. Pls RT. Suggestions more then welcome..... Yeah, I wouldn't worry about actually trying to trend, it never happens unless it's an organic event taking place in one moment. Just use a hashtag #BTIKMbirthday or #BuyBTIKM or something more fun to encourage retweets among fandom throughout the day, whenever it's the 29th, wherever you are, plus a birthday message. (as an aside, some fans don't like calling Adam "bb", they only use that to refer to other fans, so I'd probably avoid that if you want a lot of retweets). The simpler the better IMO. People can buy wherever it's easier, Amazon or itunes, and in whatever country they are in. It's mainly a symbolic act after all. |

Hi craazy, I sent a followup PM for you to test, because I think there is a way to hide your real life email address as the gifter. 1) Gift BTIKM from itunes to your OWN fandom email address. 2) Forward that email to the other person's fan email address that you want to gift to, but before you hit send, edit out your real life email address from the itunes generated email. viola! privacy on both sides.  So could you also just use step #1 and gift to your second email address if you don't have anyone to gift to? |

So do you think it might affect the adds? The adds? "No" But I do think it will affect the sales picking up at the time the adds pick up. :-/ Sales follow radio airplay by at least 7 days and up to 3-4 weeks -- so the delay will not effect sales, and really will have little to do with adds. The only possible negative effect will be on requests and then it is only 3 days and really prob won't be significant. I do not know why it moved but the 2/3/12 Thursday premiere is a better date for PR and VH1. My GUESS is the push was driven by promo strategy. |
