So....we aren't getting the video until Feb. 2nd! That stinks! Want it now!! (Looking at you RCA..make up your mind!) ;D  Yay! I upgraded my photobucket (thanks for the information about it Q3) now I can go crazy with gifs and pics! lol Thought it was Friday Feb 3? Wonder why the delay? |

Hi, I finally decided to delurk!! I enjoy this forum so much and a big Adam fan since his AI audition. Just to let you guys know, Chumfm in Toronto did play BTYKM tonight at approx 7:15 p.m. I am doing my part to request the song and will purchase it again on his Bday!! Welcome maryt1! I don't think it got played - could be wrong but I hung in until around 8:30 when it did the freeze out thing. It was #1 a few times and then dropped to the bottom - the usual stuff. It didn't get played at the Take Over BUT It was played at 5:30 PM tonight. :D :D Ist time Q102 played the song other than Take Over. so all is good I couldn't believe it wasn't on the takeover..same thing happened w/ aftermath :( Q102 plays BTIKM way more than any other station around the area. I love that station, have to listen to B104 at work and they are lucky if they play it once a day! All I hear are Kelly Clarkson songs all day long, lol! I'd even be happy to hear WWFM OR IIHY (which they hardly ever play oddly enough?)  |

I just noticed when I redeemed my gift card that the letters AFLGNT and GB were part of the 16 letter/number code! My DH thought I was going cuckoo when I started laughing and staring at the gift card! ;D ;D ;D

Love the BDay tweet idea...I'll figure out the time to do it by the 29th...and would like to gift some itunes BTIKM but have already gifted to almost everyone I know. Not sure how to gift to people I don't know :(
The past couple of days have been wild but think everything is coming together for successful promo for BTIKM and album release. So thrilled with the reviews...just want to hear the album for myself.
AND the pictures - love shines through !!! Adam and Sauli make me smile:)

I'd say test it. See if when you click the "redeem" on the email in your fandom account it downloads the single to your itunes and you get charged for it. If you do let us know what happens! ETA: I would test it again myself but unfortunately I can't see my itunes billing charges for some reason, itunes is kinda messed up on my PC It worked. I noticed that when gifting it says you can gift to multiple email addresses at once just by putting a comma in between. I think I might send some to some nieces and friends who know my crazy on his birthday and in the space where it says to put your message I'll just say "Humor me and download please. You can delete if you don't like but you may be getting the whole album too in a couple months so be warned " They will laugh but they'll do it. 8-) My children got a similar email, lol. I also asked my daughter to request her local station. She is game. |

The problem is, multiple purchases, on i-Tunes don't count. :( I am going to gift my daughter and best friend though. You can make multiple purchases at Amazon, but it would be nice to see the ranking rise on i-Tunes! :-/ Unless the rule has changed recently -- 7 or 8 digital track purchases on one iTunes account are considered a normal retail sale. Something that is unusual and appears to be chart rigging will not count. Here is an answer to the question from Billboard.com's Fred Bronson: "Buying a track two times would count as two sales. There could be a number of reasons you would want to buy the same song twice (maybe you want to have it on 10 different computers). However, if you were to buy a track, let's say, oh, 800 times, that would be considered an anomaly and would not count. So it's not possible to rig the charts by buying the same track an exorbitant amount of times. The same has always been true of physical records as well.
I know someone who purchased several hundred copies of the same CD single a few years ago to give out as gifts, and was surprised to find out that sale was not counted for the charts. I explained to her later that her sale must have been considered an anomaly, and possible chart-rigging, although that wasn't her intent. Perhaps if she had purchased 10 singles each at 80 different stores she would have made an impact on the charts, but I don't think she had the time or energy."
