I am writing this little guide to help any of you that would like to understand in more detail what I am presenting in the Magical Voice article on the basis of the chart. It is not necessary. You can get the gist of it all just by reading the text and skimming what you are unable to follow. However, I think it is not too hard to go further and actually look at the chart and follow the points made in the text. Might make it more interesting for you. Before I go any further, please remember that the signs do not usually correlate with Western signs. If you are very vested in Sun sign or rising sign meanings, you might find a shift disturbing. Both systems are useful and additive so think of it as an enrichment from another viewpoint. They also use different techniques and have different emphasis. For example, Vedic Astrologer hardly uses Sun sign meanings so if the Sun sign changes, it is not an issue. It is more interested in the rising sign and other reference points as you will see in the article. You will notice the changes in Adam's chart The Mountain Astrologer used a rather unique chart format as they apparently no longer have the software to generate the traditional Vedic charts after their last hardware updates. Here is a blank of the chart format they used: They use a modified South Indian chart which is divided Into the twelve little rectangle in which the following information is indicated (which will be different for for each of the three charts): 1 - An indication of the rising sign. This will be shown as a diagonal line through the box and the letters AS standing for the word Ascendant. That box of the chart is always the first house (eastern horizon). Celine’s chart is used above and her rising sign is in the particular box which corresponds to the sign of Cancer as you will see below. 2 - The number of the house (houses are numbered 1 - 12 and correspond to themes in the life) The number one should appear in the box with the diagonal line as that is always the first house. All three of these singers have different rising signs so you will notice the diagonal line will be in a different place in each of their charts and all the house numbers will be in different boxes from each other. 3 - Each little rectangle will have a symbol representing a sign of the zodiac and a symbol representing a planet if it happens to be located that day in that sign. The list of symbols for planets and signs is given below. Note: In more traditional Vedic Astrology, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto do not appear so don’t worry if you don’t see them in the charts. The North Node of the Moon is called Rahu in Vedic Astrology and the South Node is called Ketu. Don’t worry if you don’t have a clue about this, it is not necessary to follow the article. OK Now let's do Celine's complete chart as it appears in the article and then I will "talk you through" the symbols. Translation: Celine's first house (rising sign) is Cancer (the number 1 indicates first house, AS is rising sign and the little glyph is Cancer Celine's second house (2) is Leo and in it, is the planet Jupiter (check the tables above) 2nd house is the really important one Celine's third house (3) is Virgo and has Ketu in it (south node of the Moon) Don't worry about trying to understand this. Celine's fourth house (4) has no planet in it and the sign is Libra Celine's fifth house also has no planet and the sign is Scorpio Celine's sixth house no planet and the sign is Sagittarius Celine's' seventh house no planet and the sign is Capricorn Celine's eighth house has two planets Venus and Mercury and they are in the sign of Aquarius Celine's ninth house has three planets, Sun, Saturn and Rahu (north node of the Moon) Celine's tenth house has two planets Moon and Mars in the sign of Aries Celine's eleventh house has no planets and the sign is Taurus Celine's twelfth house has no planets and the sign is Gemini Total of 9 planets Can't teach you the aspects but the article does say what is aspecting what. I think you should follow it better now. I am pasting in from a previous post the signs and their rulers. Each house is ruled by one of the planets and it is the one that owns the sign on that house. For Celine, for example, her first house is Cancer and that sign is ruled by the Moon. The ruler of the sign is as important as the planets that are in the house for understanding the themes. In the post above this one, I list the themes of the houses. So here are the signs with their rulers. The planet in parenthesis is the owner or ruler of that sign: Aries (Mars) Taurus (Venus) Gemini (Mercury Cancer (Moon) Leo (Sun) Virgo (Mercury Libra (Venus) Scorpio (Mars) Sagittarius (Jupiter) Capricorn (Saturn) Aquarius (Saturn) Pisces (Jupiter)
