Oh man, I'm behind already...these promo runs just snowball into one big mass of interviews lol. Thanks for the little link to the Heart interview, just watched it. I had to google battered sausages lol...sort of the British version of a corn dog, sounds like. Oh, and Adam looked scrumptious, loved the color of that purple outfit on him. Thanks, Katycake, and PI and Nica for bringing everything over to the board.  |

Just saw Alisha Keys is writing a musical about her hometown. Heard somewhere Kellt Clarkson is writing a musical. Then there is Adam who has been writing for the last couple of years. So, is this the new wave. Singers writing muscials? Or, did they all hear about Adam and think it was a good idea?? LOL Hope Adam's comes out sooner rather than later, seems he has been working on it the longest. There have been quite a few musicals written by pop stars including Sting, Cindy Lauper, Elton John just to name a few. So I don’t think it’s a new thing. Bono & Edge of U2, Green Day, and Boy George also so definitely not a new thing. |

True Adam has been writing his musical for several years and before Jennifer Hudson won her Tony for being one of the producers of a Broadway Musical. But even tho many pop and rock artists have written musicals, I think once Jennifer won a EGOT, you were going to see other pop divas try their hands at it. There will probably be others so I hope Adam gets his out before it becomes an everyone is doing it type of thing and the big support and recognition goes with who you are. HA. |

Well battered sausage [blood sausage].....is good but I see why some would have trouble!. I was raised on Marmite on hot buttered toast...bests comfort food EVAH... The one I didn't eat was deep fried Mars bar!! I suspect I might actually like it and did not dare try....lol |

Jennifer won her Tony solely as a producer -- she didn't write, or perform or have creative input into the show. She was one of MANY producers -- she invested money. I think that we are starting to see more EGOTs from producing credits than in the past. and I expect that trend to continue. But i don't think that is a motivator for the very long, twisted road of writing a musical and getting it to Broadway. Pop stars have been writing musicals for years and years and years (Sarah Bareilles, Cyndi Lauper, U2, Green Day, David Byrne, Billy Joel, Elton John, the keyboardist from Bon Jovi, Duncan Sheik, Boy George, Sting to name a few) -- even if there is a new group of pop stars doing it, it is nothing new under the sun |
