I know the link has been posted earlier, but I thought I'd copy/post the whole conversation.

RCA Ed replied to my AO thread and said Glam Nation Live is registered as a DVD.

Attn Ed: QUICK Certification Question re Glam NationDVD..Is it DVD or CD on Chart?I thought the Glam Nation Live CD/DVD was originally positioned as a DVD/CD -- and the DVD part was what was focused on, both here and with the media. Now in the past couple of weeks, it's been referred to more as a CD/DVD in reviews -- with Entertainment Weekly going as far as to call the DVD the bonus part; I thought it was the other way around.
I ask this for RIAA certification purposes. I had visions of a Adam being able to hopefully achieve gold on the DVD/CD, since if registered as a DVD the threshold is 50K (as opposed to 500K for a CD).
Separately, I realize there may be some marketing benefits to positioning it as foremost a CD and perhaps even for a live album Grammy nod. Just basically wanting to know which chart we can expect it to show up on.
Thank you.

Re: Attn Ed: QUICK Certification Question re Glam NationDVD..Is it DVD or CD on Chart?
Despite the common usage of CD/DVD in the press (force of habit), we registered the release as a DVD. So it will show up on the Soundscan/Billboard DVD charts, and will obviously debut a lot higher than a CD would have, then hopefully achieve RIAA certification much quicker as well. All sales through the AO store will also be reported in Soundscan, and contribute to the overall total reflected in the DVD charts.
