I am behind a bit but ------
Soundscan numbers are reported by week, not month or day. Retail months are on a special calendar. --
January is 4 weeks, February the next 4 weeks, March is 5 weeks. Those 13 weeks make up a retail quarter -- so you can compare this year to last year and measure sales gains/increases. There are 4 quarters of 13 weeks for 52 weeks. Periodically, there is a 53 week year to resyc the retail calendar to the "normal" calendar.
No sales are reported on calendar months via Soundscan which is the aggregate sales database for the US.
In any case, the number are just close to real anyway -- off probably 5%+ of sales for many reasons. FYE probably has 25K units not in Soundscan.

It just made me laugh that Buble is #1 and Rhianna is #2! Couldn't be more polar opposites!
