I believe he means he's not fake, he doesn't pretend to be something, he just IS, real and honest. That's my take too. He's not carrying around a bunch of BS, so therefore he's straightforward and honest. The counter methodology (like the iTunes chart ranking) is a secret because they believe people will try to game the system if they disclose it. What is known: The counter functions in "real time" up to 302 views and is then frozen and updated periodically. The view count is not actual number of view. From the 302 point forward YT/VEVO use a formula and periodically update the count. Many people have experimented with the counter to try to breakdown what they do. 1. Refreshing the page won't work;does not equal a view.2. A view has a minimum requirement that you watch 50% of the video. 3. Only a limited replays of a video count. Multiple replays in a row do not count -- it seems to take a few hours between plays to count. But multiple views by one user on the same device from the same IP address do count. (Bieber's counts prove this.) 4. It does not matter if you are logged in or logged out -- they are using other User ID methods -- prob IP address and cookies. 5. If you play a video too many times, they will stop counting your views at all. Popularity is not just having the most views: They include other measures of popularity than views in calculating popular videos -- lots of referring sites, favorite counts, broad reach across demographics, mobile views, etc. Ohhh I had it on constant play yesterday on Vevo, and was thinking of doing it for VH1, but now not sure... Can you clarify points #1 and #3 for me? So refreshing is not a good way to rewatch the video? I've been hitting the replay button each time it finishes.. What do you suggest? When you say limited replay of videos count.. how many times can you replay it for it to count? I'd like to help the video count, but maybe you can suggest the best way to do that so that it will count. Thanks! ETA #5 How many times is too many for them to discount the views? |

You know, I think Adam will totally slay any further Queen performances. That first one must have been scarier than hell...one week's notice, in the backyard of Queen's birthplace, to audiences who weren't familiar with him, and in a market where he hadn't succeeded with his own music all that much. Shudder.
It tooks some serious stones to step up to that, but now that he's done it and to raves...I can't wait to see another when his confidence is even higher.
The EMAs remains my favorite performance of his of all time, and that's saying something.

BTIKM invites us to choose which Lmbert we prefer, the eccentric, badass(not accurate translation) and crazy or the fragile, lonely ,"goutsou-goutsou" Adam. The choice is yours." goutsou-goutsou is the hilarious expression. It means that something is sooooo cute that you want to squeeze/kiss it, like a puppy. Certainly not an expression used by journalists. hahahaha. That's definitely Adam! They get it! YAY!!!!! |
