Do you really hear the adds ding? I have never heard anything! >:( Depends on what browser you are using. (My secret weapon) Chrome doesn't ding but IE does, so I have to keep both open. |

Thanks spiffysmile and stardust  I do have the 'audio alerts' button ON. Maybe the browser I use (firefox) is the problem. Anyway I prefer visual Ding! ;D |

So, the song continues to gain spins at a slow but steady clip - up another 14 spins today - and that is before any new add activity this week sets in....and the bullet is growing and will hopefully be over 100 tomorrow, which is great. BUT, we need to be prepared to get temporarily knocked back a slot or two for two fast songs coming up from behind (Madonna and Goyte). Doesn't matter as long as spins are gaining. The chart above him is a bit clogged at the moment so it may take a while, but there are songs above that will start to free up spaces soon - goal being to get into the 20s in the next week or so.

I am wondering if RCA cut some sort of deal with radio for his SECOND single?? I see on twitter of people saying they didn't work radio or didn't cut a deal for this single blah blah, and I am wondering--based on his tweet of MAAAAYBE when ppl asked him on the Heatworld twitter partyy if there would be a second single before album drop--if rca struck a deal for the second single if it comes out right before album drop??? Of course I am not a radio expert so this may make no sense at all, just thinking outloud here lol
Hmm. IDK. Glad to see this song growing though!! Yay!

Chunky, I have been thinking this way too....the whole approach to BTIKM on US radio so far seems to be a bit....not sure what the right word is...."relaxed" maybe? And not much money spent here yet apparently.
Time will tell of course! And in the meantime, on HAC at least, the song seems to be doing okay with very little visible radio effort from either Adam or the label other than the video release.

Yeah that's what I don't get. it does seem that they aren't really flexing their muscles in regards to the first single, and it doesn't make sense given how this is a highly anticipated, so far amazingly reviewed, and super expensive to make album. Financially RCA wouldn't be downright idiotic not to promote the shit out of this to radio. So I am wondering if the real super duper radio push will come with the second single, which will be Cuckoo or something??? If not then I don;t understand RCA and never will. I believe there is a plan, i really do, I just wish it was more easily understandable. I had a theory once they didn't seem to matter if this single smashed or not, just more as a re-introduction single to the public before they bring out the big guns. IDK if this kind of strategy makes sense or even works but it kind of explains things. But its still early so this song could smash too...or at least be a moderate hit. Anxious to see what happens when he does his east copast promo!! Yay! |

So WWFM didn't "pave the way" for the second single if that's what RCA is expecting BTIKM to do for whatever the second single is. But I'm still happy today with yesterday's adds! |
