So Simon actually said Adam could audition. Probably just banter unless Adam reallllllllllly wanted to be on it, which I doubt. Which raises an interesting question. Could multiple labels sign him. If in this odd scenario Adam won could he be signed to SYCO or would some contractual obligation to RCA/19/Fuller prevent Cowell from signing him?

Well, there are some X-Idol winners who are likely to lose their current labels soon. Maybe they could try out.

Okay, my little late night twitter foray has to end now...but saw many tweets commenting on the ADAMAZING FULL-CIRCLE SYMMETRY of GNAFL's upcoming 3/10/11 Aftermath performance. Exactly two years ago from that date, 3/10/09, look at what many of us were watching! Yes, the universe delivers. :D
I haven't had a chance to publicly squee about upcoming AI, so... SQUEEEEEEEEEING FOR SYMMETRY AND SYNCHRONICITY!!!! ;D ;D ;D

Interesting he said it takes about 7-8 million to launch a record. I heard that as $5 million in prize money plus the amount to make and promote a recording would bring it to $7 or $8 million ... which would be $2 to $3 million to record and launch a hit album ... and I think this is in the neighborhood of what Q3 has said, factoring in all the promotion to radio.

I think the crack about Clay being Elton's nanny is because Clay adopted a child a couple of years ago shortly before he came out, and Elton just adopted a child this past year. Very snarky. Didn't understand Simon's hand gesture about Adam. I am gonna interpret it as either "That's iffy, cuz he is already a big star" or sarcastic, "Mmmm, not sure he would make the cut" but followed it with a definite yes. I think Adam would consider auditioning for X Factor only a year after hell froze over. He was asked a while ago if he would ever do another reality show and his answer was a firm 'NO.'

Removing the XFactor part I was just wondering if Adam could be signed to another label. I was thinking that another label would mean more money and thus another single, I know dead horse but I really wanted to hear another one of his singles on the radio. I only heard WWFM once and my local station NEVER played it again.

BUT, I'll bet RCA has no intention of letting Adam get away from them. He's too good, in too many ways. I think Adam has just scratched the surface of his creative powers, and regardless of disappointing radio play (for us), he's a keeper for RCA I would think=no other label. And I personally hope Adam is never in a situation to be voted on by the American public again! Grammys, Oscars, yes...but he never has to put himself through it again, thank the goddess. He did what he needed to do to get where he wanted to be. I feel like he's safe now. I do wish Simon would just give him $5 mill, though, just to make Tour#2 extra-special!
