What leaves me gobsmacked are the reporters (I use that term loosely) who are now blaming Adam or implying that he spread this rumor to get PR for his album. They haven't bothered to figure out the actual source of the rumor or to blame the tabloid for basically making shit up based on an old interview mashup. Hell, we figured out it was bogus almost immediately. All it would take is fifteen minutes of googling and reading to figure out the origin of this rumor and that it wasn't Adam or his peeps.
Have I mentioned journalism is dead?
Alrighty then. Must go off to curmudgeon cave and lick paws until I feel less stabby.

I KNOW WE HAVE SOME SWEDISH SPEAKERS AT ATOP--WISH SOMEONE WHO SPEAKS THE LANGUAGE AND IS ON TWITTER COULD TRANSLATE SOME OF THE TWEETS IN @megamixpol FEED--LOTS ARE ABOUT ADAM, AND LOOK LIKE THEY'RE EXCITED, IF !!! IS ANY INDICATION, BUT I CAN'T READ THEM! ;D

There are ethical reporters, those who take pride in their accuracy and their mission. Entertainment reporters and bloggers may have looser parameters... I guess. There are journalists risking their lives every day to bring to light injustices and atrocities we would otherwise ignore. They have courage, skill, passion ... And standards. I appreciate that there are great, good and awful journalists, which is true of every other profession or job. |
