Madonna's show was entertaining. It was a great production. But she definitely lip synched. No doubt about it! Looked like lip synch - the last was the best - the rest it looked like one, two, three, turn...wash, rinse, repeat. And there were a few times when she looked like she was struggling a bit on the knee bending. Not impressed at all with the new music. I'm not gonna change my allegiance. : My son and I were having lunch at a restaurant/bar today where they have live bands on the weekend and I started talking with our waitress (who is in her early twenties) about Madonna doing the half time show. She said she was a fan of the early Madonna music but she didn't like her new single and that she should maybe stop performing now. That's what my older son feels too. So I don't know how her music will be do this time around. Maybe the other songs on the album will be more edgy than this first song. Both my sons thought she was lip syncing. Her entrance as Cleopatra on her golden throne was 'interesting' and got everybody's attention! That was definitely 'spectacle'! ;D

Madonna's halftime performance may be one of the best as far as production value and lack of tech failures. So many of the big shows have had horrible tech problems but this one seems to have gone off without a hitch. Regardless of the quality of the new song or whether or not she was lip synching I found it visually stunning and very entertaining. Well done. I totally agree with you. I enjoyed it, and don't even care if she lip synced. I was so afraid, at one point, that she was going to fall. She didn't, phew!! It was entertaining, and overall, I thought she did a great job. I'm not crazy about her new song, but I thought I read somewhere that she did it just for the Superbowl thing?? Don't quote me on that....lol!! But, I liked it, and I don't care what others say. She's about 10 years younger than me, and looks amazing!!! I've seen her on several talk shows, and I really liked what she had to say. Some of it was in sync with some of the things that Adam says. She said, in one interview, that her 1st music awards show, I think it was the AMA's, but not sure, that she would never live it down. When she was in the wedding dress and she fell, or kinda, sorta fell. She said she actually lost her shoe, and went down on the floor to get it, and thus why she rolled around, etc. And, that that she was told by her manager that it would be her downfall, and that it was basically over? And, she said she didn't realize that she showed her butt. But, really, doesn't this sound familiar? She thought that was it!! She was done. Look where she went!! Ok, rant done...lol! I'm not even that big of a fan, I like her, and lots of her old music, but never bought an album. I just hate when peeps start knocking someone because they're *over the hill*. I guess, since I'm older, it just hits me in the wrong way. She did good. I liked it, and don't really care what anyone else has to say about it. I know Adam loves her. I respect that. He has extremely good taste, IMO. ;D

To be honest, I thought it was the best half-time SHOW in years - a spectacle, entertaining, BIG. It left me thinking, she's a pro and knew just what to do with that opportunity. Just chiming in to say ITA--I thought it was a great show! Loved the visuals, song choices--and even though ITA her new song is "puerile" (lol), it did fit in with a football show. Have to say, the (hairy) angel doing acrobatics on the wire made me nervous as hell, though! All in all, very entertaining IMO.

Sonisphere headliners leaked – Faith No More and Queen…fronted by Adam Lambert?!? **UPDATED**www.thrashhits.com/2012/02/sonisphere-headliners-leasked-faith-no-more-and-queen-fronted-by-adam-lambert/Those of you following us on Twitter will have heard us mention earlier this week that we’d “just heard a festival headliner “rumour” so mental it has blown my mind. GOBSMACKED“…well, it seems The Daily Star have gone and blown all our secrets out of the water – today they confirmed that this year’s Sonisphere Festival headliners in the UK will be Faith no More and Queen….fronted by Adam Lambert. more... I like what he wrote in here: How is the metal world going to take the news about Adam Lambert and Queen? We’re predicting “by throwing a massive childish shitfit”. The metal community – despite it’s internal protestations of being welcoming and accepting of others – tends to get more than a little aggro when confronted by artists and musicians outside of the rock’n'metal sphere. Tickets for Sonisphere UK are not yet on sale, but the event is scheduled for 06-08 July 2012, and will once again be taking place at Knebworth Park – coincidentally, the same place where Queen played their final show with Freddie Mercury in 1986. If this ends up being the only worldwide show for Queen (and we’ve heard that rumour too), then tickets for that night at Sonisphere will be gone before we’ve had the time to type up a blog post announcing they’re on sale.

Um...you know she is only 53, right ???? ;D ;D ;D : Well, in my prior post I said she was 10 years younger than me. Now I have to recant that one. She's only 8 years younger than me.........LMAO!! I wanna be as feeble and ugly and washed up as Madonna, by golly!! And I love that story, glittergma, it really does connect with Adam's experience. But I hate her new single.

Awwww. Michael. Think what it must have been like to work with Adam instead of all of these deer-in-the-headlights stressed-out kids with terminal melisma syndrome, especially as they keep getting younger every year. Ironically, I was thinking that Madonna should have left the mega-heels at home. She was trained as a dancer and she's really great, but no one can REALLY let loose and dance in five-inch heels. She does look great, though... Honest, hope Adam leaves the medges at home when he tours too..wanna see that man dance..he was born to dance 8-) Lulz...all the new avis!!! ;D ;D ;D erm, ??Mys*&@^#r?? Think we need to talk to you about yours ;D Totally enjoyed reading the further discussion on the BTIKM vid..chess, tarot..totally intriguing takes..thanks so much! Adam forgetting WWFM? Think subconsciously he is trying to put Era 1 behind him when he will have to sing that song, like, forever, prolly Happy Birthday to all of today's Aquarians!!!EAT CUPCAKES POMEGRANATES!!![/color]

That Michael Orland tweet is great -- especially from someone who works with so much talent all the time! It must have been a joy working with someone of Adam's caliber on Idol! BTW, no interest in the Super Bowl (sorry football fans, it's not my sport) but did watch the half-time show. The choreography was wonderful and the dancers were great. The music was okay but everyone looked like they were having a good time. My favorite bit was Cee Lo Green's robe! I want one just like it! Interview: Michael Orland, Pianist, American Idol Music DirectorTalks about Adam at about 18:00

I think that Madonna put on a great show for the Super Bowl. There were marching bands, cheerleaders, good music, visuals that could be seen in the nose bleed section and it ended with WORLD PEACE.
Kudos to her.
Here's what I noticed besides that, while they were setting up there were three guys that discussed the first half of the game in all seriousness down to the minutiae. Sound familiar. And they call us crazy. Does anyone want contemplate the book titles in BTIKM and their significance for Adam's future career. ;D
