OK, I went and tried to look but it is so hard not to start staring into Adam's eyes and completely lose your train of thought. Anyway, some of the spines were covered but the rest looked like old leather bindings that were impossible to read, EXCEPT the book just to the left of the white ceramic-looking tchotchke in the left hand shelf. I have no idea of the title but it definitely looked like a Reader's Digest Condensed Book. Remember those? The spine configuration is distinctive and it made me feel like I was 10 again. LOL. Thanks for looking! Yes, not only do I remember RD Condensed books, I actually SAVED two of them when I sold my 100 boxes of books last summer because I liked ALL of the stories condensed in both of them and thought they were worth re-reading sometime! I wonder if Adam even knows what those are lol? I do wonder if he's finished Tolle and is on to something else now... These Tolle quotes remind me of Adam: “In the eyes of the ego, self-esteem and humility are contradictory. In truth, they are one and the same.” “Don't let a mad world tell you that success is anything other than a successful present moment.” |

You know I think last year when he was on "The Talk" and they had that contest thing where his mouth in the picture was covered with a butterfly and that lovely fan told him it was wrong to cover up the lip freckles may have actually got through to him somewhat. He seemed really startled at the idea that we liked his lip freckles and I've always thought that may have been a sensitive point with him. So many people tend to comment negatively about them calling them cold sores and things that he seemed genuinely surprised at someone actually wanting him to let them show. It seems to me that since then he has gradually let them peep through more and more often. He has worn clear or lightly colored lip gloss more often I think. I am happy to see that and hope that our freckle fascination has encourage him to bare his face more often.

 I clicked on "like" on the Vevo video and it appeared on my facebook page. WTF? Didn't mean to reveal my Adam obsession to everyone on facebook. My sister responded: "I couldn't get this one to run, but I checked out the one on YouTube and I will admit, this song isn't bad. ;-) For me, that's a pretty positive comment. ANd I do personally like his looks better when he has less makup on." Up till now she has been staunchly in the "anti-Adam" camp, despite admitting he has a killer voice. She has been turned off by his OTT appearance and performance style. If she is willing to admit what she did, I would say that Adam's marketing and branding choices for Era 2 are effective! Still way back in the thread trying to catch up, but had the same thing happen to me. I found that I could go on my FB page and if you put your cursor next to the link, a pulldown icon appears and if you click on it, you'll see options to delete from your FB wall, but still keep the 'like' on Vevo.. which is what I did. Tricky aren't they! :  |

Madonna's halftime performance may be one of the best as far as production value and lack of tech failures. So many of the big shows have had horrible tech problems but this one seems to have gone off without a hitch. Regardless of the quality of the new song or whether or not she was lip synching I found it visually stunning and very entertaining. Well done. I absolutely agree. The production was great. Best half-time show in quite a while. Kudos. |
