music.uk.msn.com/video/?VideoID=28b7qct55OMG! The last 4 minutes of this interview gave me chills and tears!! You know what?! I suddenly don't really care as much about spins and singles! This album is Adam putting his heart and soul out there for the whole world to see. He loves it and has done his best. He has not lost his fanbase, all indications are thtatit has grown. He will be fine. We will be fine. This album is going to be 100% Adam opening up his hearts for his fans! If the rest of the world doesn't see it or want it, their loss! But, I really have the feeling Trespassing is going to blow up the Pop world! << Very verklempt, very happy tears! And,

How can the song start selling until radio spins increase>? He has barely done promo here, geez at least let him work radio and stuff here and see if Z adds before we call this song dead. IMO that is srsly jumping the gun especially knowing that he doesn't shoot up the charts. And that's all I am gonna say about that, ya'll have at it. Gotta say ita with this. I'm not ready to declare BTIKM dead in the water until Adam has done his rounds of the big East Coast stations (and whatever else he has up his sleeve for next week) and the video comes out on VH1. Lots of people know WAY more than I do (I know nothing at all, lol), but Adam has said that BTIKM was chosen as a "bridge" song between FYE and Trespassing. I'm guessing that they made the decision based on the fact that Adam's big hit was WWFM, and BTIKM is in that same genre. So it's a way of reintroducing Adam without freaking people out with a song that's too OTT. Whether it's working or not, or doing what they expected, I have no idea. And I will NEVER underestimate the factors working against Adam, which absolutely does include the fact that he's gay, and a white male trying to do pop, and an Idol grad. Like Adam says, he's trespassing all over the music scene, and there is a hell of a lot of black-and-yellow caution tape in his way. And with all that said, I do think this era will be huge for him, and really break him out, and bring him far bigger success than FYE. So no angst from me. Just logging in a moment to agree 100% with your post, NoAngel. I actually really love this song and am trying to keep my expectations in check because again, WWFM wasn't in heavy rotation until April/May 2010 on my local HAC---and it was released the previous November! Adam is just so full of goodness--not to mention talent. Karma is in his favor.

I'm in the not angsting and agree with those who say the song needs a little more time. I agree with MyS*&@^#r that it loooks like the "real" release date was supposed to be January. I think the BFM situation pushed the release AND I think it may also have been deliberate to get the smaller, red-state stations started. WWFM should have been a top 5 hit - the only reason it wasn't was that Z and the other big stations spun it like crazy early on and were slowing down before RCA could get the smaller stations on it. The spins ended up being spread over months & months. A couple big stations (even stations like Z and Q that some others seem to follow) cannot get a song to the top all by themselves. It takes tons of smaller stations also playing it. They may not be aiming for top 10 with this one - I have no clue on that - but there has been a surprising number of adds from the "red states" so far. This is total speculations, but is it possible RCA asked the big stations to hold off and give them time to get some of these other places on board? NOW they are starting the big promo and hopefully Z will support it and Q will start spinning it more outside the takeover/countdown stuff and the stations that follow that lead will join in. Just seems so strange that so many of the adds have been from places that have us all going "what the heck?" and what seems like "obvious" places haven't added at all. Or maybe I'm a hopeless optimist I'm going to skip the rest of today as it looks like an all day debate/angst and I'm just not interested in analyzing it all before it has even had a chance to happen. See y'all tomorrow Yes! Yes! Yes!! All your points about Z100 and Q doing power rotations too early fro WWFM are true. Well, maybe not too early, but the slow adds by many stations did indeed spread the spins out over too long a period. It is completely within the realm of possibilites that RCA has asked Z to hold off until more smaller stations were on board. I have been really amazed at the extremely conservative areas that have added BTIKM fast.

Yes, I've already given to charity water, but I still wanna towel! ;D Ooh! Can that be an incentive? No signing that will take another year to complete, just give us a TOWEL !!! ;D ETA: Heck, or a washcloth. I'll even deal with a hankie.I think Official Adam Lambert toss pillows would sell. These little pillows would be easy to hide, if your family gives you grief for your Adam stanning. Maybe king size pillow cases. I want nice huggable Adam pillows*. Oh, and an Adam lunchbox. ;D *Thanks, for the pillow idea, Bamafan!

Why on earth is there a "Concert Towel"??!!??!! That said I really want it. Can we order it from the US? (My husband is gonna think I've totally lost it!) I have been in many J-pop concerts and there seem to be almost always a concert tower. Must be because the summer in Japan is so hot and humid, that people want to wipe the sweat. Maybe it's a beach towel to spread out for all to see. And lying on it might be fun.

I think Adam is doing just fine.. He said how' it is' in his interviews,he's different ,Radio can't put him in a box. He's an outsider.. His outsiderness holds us enthralled. He's not run of the mill nor does he chose to be.He's experimenting with his own sound, his own look. As he said again in interviews to paraphrase, I don't like being told what to do,I want to make my own music and cross boundaries. Adam also said that he wants to spend the next two or three years getting his Trepassing songs out to the public. He apparently is in no hurry ,and although I'm sure Adam would like to be at the top of the charts, that doesn't seem to be his main goal.Again it's that longevity thing that he has his eye on.
He knows how competitive the business is , and could follow the popular kids, but chooses to march to his own drummer.
Adam wants his popularity and his musical influence to grow . He has his eye on the prize.. The prize IMHO, is to be himself,to create new lasting music and to develop a world wide audience who appreciates all of the above.
Adam Lambert knows who he is and knows where he is going.. Slow simmer building to orgasmic boiling point.
