Funny I was looking up Tom Gay to see who this guy was who was so thrilled for Adam to say "Hi" to his mom. I like to see Adam around possibly industry and accomplished people like the GQ crowd. HA. I found out Mr. Gay was from the US but lives in Australia and is a model, tv personality, actor, etc. But while reading about Tom, I came across a different article about Adam that I had not seen before. I know Adam got upset about the Variety article that said pop stars like Jlo, Madonna and Timberlake were not aging gracefully but there were some good and obvious points made. For pop and pop/dance, it is hard to compete with the teens, twenty and early thirty year old's. Other genres are more forgiving. And if you have the talent and versatility that Adam has (many don't) then maturing is not a bad thing. So I was thrilled to see this article about Adam maybe re-recording. We all loved The Original High better before Max Martin got a hold of it. And Ghost Town was much more exciting when he did the rock version with QAL. And I adored and melted over Heavy Fire and There I Said It but of course they were not released as a singles. If he does re-record TOH, maybe he could re-record and add a few great songs from Velvet and a few new cuts. I can dream and I would buy it in a heartbeat. HA. Maybe the EDM/dance thing he has been talking about will only be for a song or two for the club crowd and not for an entire album. I didn't know any of the drama that went with it. If he re-works the album, I wonder if any will be released as singles and if his label will support it. He is just brilliant. |
