Chimney I definitely think there's a plan. I have a whole theory that I will post later when I' m not at work and not trying to toe on my little phone with my big fingers. There are too many things weird and also coincidental for there not to be a plan. I think this is an intentional "soft launch" as one of the. UK DJ said and ties in with the whole story arc of the Trespassing album.alv
Oops, phone won't let me type Chunky; that's why I need a computer to discuss more.

I have seen a lot of speculation that the "re strategize" comment he made in that one interview means "new single" do we think this is true? And not as in a "planned all along new single" but a "oh shit this is not going well new single"??? I don't see the point frankly because if radio won;t jump on this perfectly fine song right away IDG why ppl would think a diff song might be any better. I think they are gonna stick it out for a while...I hope they cut some deals for big spins. Come on and flash some cash RCA I don't curr if it's legal or not lmao. Or the strategy may simply be to hold back the album until they can see if BTIKM moves up the charts to at least top15-20 on HAC and and top30 or better on CHR in the next couple weeks. Then if they drop a new single, that needs time to move up.

WIll critics declare him 'dead' as seen w Cook's new album.? or right now it seems Cook is in a 'no man's land' right now. Maybe a push later but it doesn't look good for him. Will we hear from critics that he is a 'one hit wonder" WIll RCA have to push harder for a second single to be accepted? It's so confusing

Will we hear from critics that he is a 'one hit wonder" WIll RCA have to push harder for a second single to be accepted? It's so confusing Yeah it is confusing. But I don't think he is in danger of being Cook---the album is apparently way too good and chock full of potential hit singles per the UK peeps and they weren't even on board last era. Even harder to please Pop Justice was digging it. Cook's issue was a bunch of songs that weren't radio friendly or current and all sounded the same. Oh and his album didn't get rave reviews either. If radio snubs Adam he at least will have the rave reviews and potential word of mouth buzz, industry respect etc....it's not ideal but it's a hell of a lot better than Cook. And I can't see him not having another hit. I guess it could happen, but with potential hit material the odds are at least in his favor. IDK what plan is in place but there has to be one. Though the re-strategize thing worries me a bit but it's possible it has more to do with last min collabs and not like the suits running around crying THE SKY IS FALLING ABORT ABORT like us fans have been doing lol. RCA sunk a lot of money into this album and they would be idiots to not make it as successful as possible. So far promo in UK and here are going well--much more than last era imo--and all he is missing is radio but it could still happen. I don't think song is dead yet. I guess we will see. I hope if they stick with BTIKM they can push it high enough to be a hit, and if they are planning on a new song for WHATEVER REASON then I hope they get it everywhere before album drop. Interested to read two's theory. I kinda hope my theory is right, but who knows. Just trying to think of realistic yet optimistic leaning scenarios here lmao

It's so confusing No, BtIKM doesn't have to go to #1, but it would be better if it goes to Top15 or Top20 on HAC so it can't be called a flop. They will most likely drop a new single at least a couple weeks before the album, and BTIKM will fall as soon as they do that, most likely. So they may need a little more time to get it up the charts. Adam is NOT in the same boat as Cook. Cook had no good second single on his album, and his album was underwhelming. Adam has many good singles and they will simply change when they feel the time is right!

I just saw the update of spins for today over at another site and Adam has lost spins on both HAC and C HAC, this has me worried. What's w Canada.??? I thought he was big over there. I just don't like this roller coaster of a ride.

Hate to single out Cook, not a fan but not a hater of him either, but why would they let him release an album if songs were so so. DOn't they have input and advise him of material for success?

David Cook's type of music was popular about 6 years ago. Think Daughtry. Even Daughtry is having toruble with this album. Adam is Pop. He has nothing to do with David Cook's type of music. And I am a Cook fan and I still say this.
