I'm sure whomever complained about Adam's AMC performance will also be writing letters about what Nicki Minaj just did, but I personally would like to register a complaint on behalf of Stephen Sondheim. You don't just hijack "I Feel Pretty" from West Side Story and use it in your fantasy exorcism. THAT'S blasphemy! They made sure that Nicki's performance was after 10:00. The Parent's Council or whoever it is that usually complains won't have a leg to stand on. The rules change after 10:00 at night. :

Did Adele have to go around to all the DJ's like Adam is doing? Never heard anything so I don't think so! >:( ETA: I don't follow her like I do Adam so I probably shouldn't say that. I don't know either. It just seems like such an up hill climb for Adam sometimes.

It was like 3 minutes before 10 Central for Adam, even though it was almost 11:00 for every other timezone ETA: I think the Beach Boys lip synced

Just a couple more comments on the Grammys.
> I am still surprised/unhappy that they did nothing special for Amy Winehouse.
> The Alicia Keys + Bonnie Rait "At Last" tribute to Etta James is worth watching if you missed the show.
ETA: Alicia and Bonnie sang Sunday Kind of Love.

Actually Bonnie and Alicia sang "Sunday Kind of Love", not "At Last". It was really great.

Did Adele have to go around to all the DJ's like Adam is doing? No, very different situation. RITD debuted at #2 in the UK -- then topped the charts. It was #1 in other EU countries. Then it was released in the US -- initially getting played on AAA and HAC stations -- then crossed over to Top 40. In the US, the song debuted at #68 on the Hot 100 and 5 months later hit #1. Her comment about Pop Radio playing the song is because the Pop airplay is what made the song #1. Pop stations started playing the song in a measurably way in March 2011.
