If BTIKM can make top 20 by the end of the month (or even early March) that will be great! Top 20 is one of those milestones that certain radio stations look at when making decisions about adds and spins.

Adam has said the Bruno song needs to be finished. And when he was doing the PR in LA, a few weeks ago, that song wasn't even making the album. So someone decided they wanted that song on the album. And Claude, definitely said his was a new song. So, ya, those 2 songs are a very good guess. Then there is that collab he wants. Didn't he say once that there is more than one Bonnie McKee song on the album? So far we only have one, Cuckoo. ??? I would say that if Chokehold became a bonus track, no fans would be upset, because we haven't heard much about that one. I think he is too excited about the other ones and plus they have already been previewed. ETA: Damn, Q3 types faster than me! LOL! I thought maybe he meant it was going to be on the CD overseas, but not here? or someone said maybe it is going to be on the deluxe version? Can't wait  |

Can't we discuss what's happening without it being called angsting? This is so frustrating to me. I'm not worried or concerned. But I do like to hear other people's speculation and opinions. This^^ Happy Valentine's Day everyone and a very Happy Birthday to fiercelier and dietcoke!
Nothing wrong with speculating--I do it all the time--, but when someone comes in and states LIKE IT'S A FACT that so and so won't be singles, etc etc then that is not speculating, that is causing unnecessary angst imo. I think it's waaay too early to say anything with certainty about anything, and I think that is the main issue. |

It is so interesting following Adam as he works to release his second album during the time that my son is working to release his first one. It makes me much less angsty about the delays as my son has had so many himself, and he is producing his album himself, and it is just a small indie album. It is such a process. Collaborations come up and then other people's schedules are involved. Songs that fit the album in its early stages don't fit as well later on down the road. Labels give feedback about what tracks people are feeling at listening sessions. New opportunities come up to work on things that seem like great possibilities, and everything has to be worked in while you (and others) are in the middle of working on a million other things. Any kind of change takes time. This second album is Adam's baby; if opportunities come up that might make for a great track, I'm sure he wants to play them out if at all possible. And it gives more time to get a hit going on radio to promote sales for the album. I wonder what Adam is doing with Nile? I'd love to know. My guess for a vocal collaboration is Jessie J. Adam has been talking her up lately in interviews. Excited for all things Adam! Spring will bring us delightful treats, and until then, Adam will keep us busy with promo, Queen news, festival speculations and Whole Foods visits, LOL. Oh, and I would really appreciate a one off in Southern California, j/s... There is no place like home. |

I can't find the video on ITunes Canada - have any other Canucks seen it yet? Yup! It's sitting at #2 overall on music vids on cdn iTunes. That's how I found it, in fact. Looked at music vids top 10 and there it was. But I'm viewing via iPhone, don't know if that makes a difference. |

Based on the interviews I have listened to I think first he was not sure if the Bruno Mars song would make the album. He didn't say anything more in that interview but looking back it might have been that he liked the song but something was missing, it lacked the extra kick, it was not perfect and the best it could be - or something like that. Later Adam said that "now we got Dr Luke to work on it". He had more excitement and enthousiasm in his voice and body language when he said that. I am not sure but maybe he even had more good things to say about the song. But I remember hearing "now" - so maybe they had it done before, were not totally happy about it and got a new guy to do it again which changed the situation and it would make the album after the doctoring. And during the time when that track was not perfect enough to be included in the album, of course they were working on some other songs, maybe trying to decide which of the existing ones would make the cut - or even trying to find something new to work on, the collaboration for example.
I had the idea that earlier they had several possibilities to solve the problem of a song or two and Adam was sure something would work out in time to get the album finished and out. But being the perfectionist he is, the new Claude Kelly track was needed if the Bruno song would not work out, and he also wanted to try some extra work with the Bruno song which would be good reference to have on the album. And in light of some exciting developments also to get the collaboration done and on the album. There probably was a slight delay anyway during which something new came up etc. To me it seems quite a process where a lot is done simultaneously and the result can be reviewed only afterwards.
I hope that all this will get sorted out soon but I trust that any work that is done at the moment will make the album even better.
