Here's the direct link to the 102.7 performance of BTIKM. Give them hits, please. fresh1027.radio.com/2012/02/15/adam-lambert-performs-in-studio-better-than-i-know-myself-video/It is fun to listen to the succession of performances from early morning on. This one is obviously from several hours later, and he has warmed up enough to belt the chorus, altho still in the lower key. And, you will note that he sings "Better than I [breath] know MYSEEEEELLLF!" that breath is necessary because, altho he is warmer than early morning, he is still not fully warmed up, and needs more air to produce and sustain the high notes. (Mama cassie wants to say, "If you need that extra breath, Adam, you are NOT sufficiently warmed up. Don't go for the note. You are pushing it. But, he is a big boy and knows his voice.)

I agree with Midwifespal I love the songs that Adam wrote on his first album. In my humble opinion catering to radio taste isn't going to get Adam more air time. I think coming up with his own music and making his own sound might do it. If radio still is resistant,Adam is still being true to the artist in him. Radio is important but it's not the only way Adam's music can be heard. There is Youtube, word of mouth and certainly he will get played in other countries. I hope RCA isn't hampering his creativity, that would be a crime. Adam is Adam and he just doesn't fit in a box . Adam fits in a box because he wants to be in one. If he didn't want Pop hits, then we wouldn't be worrying about radio play. Adam wants to be played on Pop radio, therefore he and his record label are working to make that happen. Having several radio-friendly singles is something that Adam has said he wants. They are working on a couple that are "very radio ready" at this very time. You don't have Dr. Luke produce your songs, if you aren't trying to cater to Pop radio listeners. The songs Adam co-wrote on FYE may be fan favorites, but that doesn't mean they were good choices for radio singles. Catering to radio taste does get you more air time. Radio is important if it is important to Adam, and from all indications this something he wants. As you may remember from the last time this question came up, I tend to agree with you on this--Adam likes top 40 pop, Adam wants to be played on top 40 radio, and Adam writes pop music. But just to be fair, most of the songs Adam wrote for FYE were never intended to be radio singles, and I have no reason to suspect that if Adam wants to write a great radio single, he has that ability in spades, especially with the ace pop co-writers and producers he's been working with. We haven't heard the new music in question (with the exception of a very-much-changed trespassing), so all I can do is trust the critics who have. THey seem to feel VERY STRONGLY that certainly CUCKOO and probably TRESPASSING as well (both Adam co-writes) would make terrific singles. Personally, I don't mind radio-friendly songs. I like a lot of the songs I hear on CHR. What I don't want is a song, no matter how "radio-friendly" it is, that could belong to any other artist, in part because it was written/produced (without Adam) by a team (Dr. Luke et al) that has written/produced songs for most of the other artists in the top 40. For me (and this is only my opinion, and worth very little) BTIKM is such a song (indeed, part of the thrill of watching these acoustic versions is to see Adam taking a non-Adam song and adamizing it). I don't want another one. I don't just want to hear his voice--I want a hit song with Adam's stamp all over it, even if--especially if--it is an "in the box" pop-radio-friendly song. I'm confident he has it in him, and I suspect (given the gushing reviews) that such a song already exists on Trespassing. But then, I'm a greedy biatch like that! ;D Also, I want Adam to get credit for an underappreciated skill of his: his song-writing. And I don't just mean that the lyrics are personal to him--even more than that, I'm thrilled by Adam's musical instincts (see acoustic versions mentioned above) and what I assume are his production instincts. From what he has said over the years about specific details from the FYE album, his suggestions almost always made a song sound more interesting, and they always sounded identifiably Adam. He already gets admired for his voice. But needless to say, Adam isn't on AI anymore, making other peoples songs sound like his own--he's his own pop artist. I'm not worried about radio boxing Adam in or making him too "top-of-the-popsy"--I believe Adam would make a great mainstream pop star; I just ready for the next step--I'm ready for an ADAM SONG to burn up my radio!

So Tommy and Isaac went with to NY and never did any shows with them I wonder what happened. None, wow. I was wondering if they were going home to CA myself when Tommy tweeted last night, hmm. Boo....Europe got all of them. I thought I saw a vid this a.m. where all 3 were playing. Kevin was like behind a counter and Adam, Tommy and Isaac were sitting facing Kevin. They showed Kevin at the very beginning of BTIKM.

Please, the minute we can click on something and hear/see(!) Adam say he is hard, could that be announced in big red letters so it's not missed? Thank you in advance. (I'm not proud of this post, but - well, there it is.) I think it's safe to say that you speak for a silent majority on that one.

I would ask Adam:
What have you learned, after working on two albums now, about the process that you did not know before? Any misconceptions that you or you think others might have?

This is Adam's lowest live singing yet! They've lowered the key for a third time, now it's in D minor instead of G minor like the studio version. He's singing lots of low C's! Love his low register
