Please, the minute we can click on something and hear/see(!) Adam say he is hard, could that be announced in big red letters so it's not missed? Thank you in advance.

Chunky...I'm with you. I'll take anything to get the PD's to add/play him. But this song isn't doing it for me. It's kinda of boring. Again, another medium beat song. Not dancey and it seems similar to It will rain. I just don't know. It doesn't sound like a hit to me but then again, everything Bruno does sells so I'll take it. So confused when people say never Close Your eyes is not a dance tune! ?? ??? It's...in the middle. Not really danceable, but not a song where you just stand still either. I think it's very, um, well you just sway or something. Sounded like background music to me :/ |

It's dancey and current, and with better production I'd like it even more. It's having Bruno on a track with him SINGING that I am not that crazy about. But whatever. We don't even know for sure it is a vocal collab and don't really even know for sure it would be on this song, or if this song will even make the final cut tbh |

It's Adam's career, RCA's business, and - for the rest of us - just fun and games, so I think Adam and RCA are probably making and will continue to make the best calls. They have the most at stake and the most information. (Which still, of course, doesn't guarantee anything - not every song can be in the top ten . . . only 10 can!) Whatever choices Adam and RCA make, I hope the choices "work" to get him where he wants to go. To me, Adam is already WILDLY succeeding overall. (And if he had one iota less talent, personality, savvy, integrity, "hawt"-ness, etc. etc. etc. he wouldn't be as far as he is, I don't think.) US pop radio is one part of the game - Adam wants to win that part with Era II, but if he can't/doesn't, his game is far from over.  Yes, I so agree with this. ! short n' sweet ... the POINTS to remember!! Isn't Adam just awesome today.............. |

I agree with Midwifespal I love the songs that Adam wrote on his first album. In my humble opinion catering to radio taste isn't going to get Adam more air time. I think coming up with his own music and making his own sound might do it. If radio still is resistant,Adam is still being true to the artist in him. Radio is important but it's not the only way Adam's music can be heard. There is Youtube,word of mouth and certainly he will get played in other countries. I hope RCA isn't hampering his creativity,that would be a crime. Adam is Adam and he just doesn't fit in a box . Maybe I'm nuts but I think there will come a day of reckoning when Adam's own music will become iconic.It took Queen a long time to get recognition, and they certainly weren't alone. America for all it's screaming about Queen now weren't that thrilled when they began their careers. I think Adam is constantly being compared to people in POP who can't hold a candle to him. I would hate for him to dumb it down . I also think Adam is trying to break through that glass ceiling (Trespassing) alone. For every e mail that goes to radio station saying please play Adam Lambert,I wonder how many are going to the same stations saying don't play adam Lambert. We'll never know i.e. Ellen and JCPenney?Coming in second on IDOL. The country singer who recently came out ,said her record sales went down to half after admission.Look who is running for president. Don't want to seem cynical, but Adam has a tough calling. I agree. I want Adam's OWN music to be heard; I believe it will be more interesting than the rest. I don't have anything against Bruno, but don't care much for the idea of vocal collaboration. They may prove me wrong, lol. Radio play is not everything, but it would make his rise to greatness easier/faster and, would result in better sales, which would give him more opportunites, ensure creative freedom etc. Regarding Adam and his music becoming iconic one day, just read my sig line... I have great respect for Paula lately...  ;D |

chunkey, I knew what you meant about the Bruno collab possibly becoming all about Bruno, if there is an actual vocal collab. I still have my doubts that there is a Bruno vocal. And as excited as Adam was with his fingers crossed and wishing, I just don't see that excitement being about Bruno. But if it happens, I waver back and forth between, "Sure, if it helps him break through on CHR with a huge hit." To the next minute thinking, "Damn you, RCA! Can't you release one of the songs he wrote that every reviewer has been squeeing over!" There's also the point thta collabs are very in. 2 high charting collabs is how Bruno broke into Top 40! |
