Well stated jujubee2. Not going to lie but it makes me a bit sad but I hope it will soon pass. And we will get something new a bit after Pride. You can't really go back in time and have something that may have worked at twenty, work at 40. Not sure what Adam wants his legacy to be but many in the media view him as a rock star/pop star with charisma, sex appeal, class and talent. I'm not even sure he is still with a label. This era feels a bit tawdry and sorta like some of those theme parties or photos where he (and Joey) looks a bit out of place but has to participate, lol. His community is important to him but many LGBT fans in all parts of the country/world look to him as a successful and great representative. And I don't think most of them or his fans need or want crass/vulgar from him. Or want him to be Troye or LNX or the new Sam Smith.

Introducing My Friend to - Adam Lambert - Feel Something ( LIVE )
Torture, lol. Should have been the single instead of New Eyes. After such a long break in music from Adam, the media was going nuts over it and so were the fans. Then he said it was just a teaser and not his single and the momentum just died. My opinion but I'm sticking to it. HA. I agree with you. Feel Something had a story and wasn't the Oscars right in the mix with it? But then New Eyes? which wasn't even mixed right, and sounded awful on the radio. I was out in the country so able to pull over and stop and turn it up. Ugh Feel Something should have been released as single for sure.

This reminds me of his friends from the Zodiac Club days in 2004 trying to curb his desire to wear something on his head with flames shooting out for a performance, if I remember correctly. Well, we all know Adam will do what he wants regardless of our opinions.

Is it fairly normal for artists to change management and labels pretty frequently? It seemed like High Drama and just Adam in general was everywhere last year. It was one great surprise after another. I wonder what happened to Adam’s comment last year that he had accepted that he was a rocker? Randy and Kara urged him with what still seems like the best advice: make a rock record. Nobody’s out there who can do it like him. Look at all of the rockers from the 1970s on who are still out there, gaining fans. And as someone said, I support many communities, but it doesn’t mean I will listen to music that is representative of that community. If what we’re seeing teased is what the new album is, I currently hate EDM, but maybe there will be something he will sing that will change my mind. I never thought anything could diminish Adam’s voice, but EDM components could. When I read about “afters”, I was kind of excited because I thought he wouldn’t be bound to any genre and everyone (EDM to Rock, to, a little tiny nod a la “Girl Crush” to country) might be. I sort of thought of “afters” to be a diverse bunch of genres or fusions, sort of like mixed candies and that such a mix might expose people to a genre they didn’t like and they might come to at least appreciate it. I see I didn’t read carefully enough, and that doesn’t seem like what is happening here at all. Instead, he is going ultra-niche, maybe?

Adam has wanted to push buttons from the start of his career, and now he seems to want to go for it (again), likely feeling inspired and emboldened by his current love and the friends that he hangs out with in the “after hours” (I found that song very sexy btw.). I get his latest artistic endeavor in a way, but more so in the sense that he wants to connect with his community. Not sure if it will be my cup of tea, but I will wait and see what the EP brings. I like electronic music, but I don’t care for explicit stuff, so if I don’t like it I wont feel obligated to support it. According to Adam, he isn’t expecting that anyways.
