I think this critic is unfair to Adam even he reacted impulsiv . He said meny times that this EP is for his community and people who does not mind songs about gay´s sexuality. The songs are sexual and nasty. He puts out this warning out and he does not misleding anybody. But people still come after him on his insta page aka to his house. I do not see Adam to go to church and try to critic priest, when he is preaching about gays as pedofiles . So why it´s okay to inforce religions rulles on him? This fan has plenty of other platforms to critic him, e.g. here on fan site people critic his "bad" gay song choice on every day. Don't do unto others at their home what you don't want done unto you.

I think there’s a difference between the official Insta appearance of a celebrity and the account of a private person. Adam is promoting his new EP on Instagram and he has done it extensively since Friday. Then he must deal with some criticism. Not every fan is following his every step, so they might not even know, what he did say before. This was a pretty harmless and respectfully voiced opinion. No need for him to call the person out in the way Adam did in that second comment. That person feels different from him, why can’t he simply accept it and move on like they did? It’s a perfect example, why there are 98% positive comments on his IG, even though the content has everywhere else stirred very controversial discussions. Also: When Adam chose these lyrics, he knew very well that it would provoke such a comment.

It´s goes both way. So why this fun has urge to comment about that and not let it be? She knows Adam is not religious.
Yes, Adam chose the lyrics and he can defend himself about that on his platform. It´s his right. Why it´s difficult to understand?

It´s his right. Why it´s difficult to understand? How do you know that the fan knows that Adam isn’t religious? Also, I didn’t say that Adam has no right to defend himself. He does. But I think his first reply was completely sufficient. The second one was uncalled for. And he must have noticed it or he wouldn’t have deleted it.

Re: Adam’s response above How aggressive, overly-defensive and very judgemental on Adam’s part. Uncalled for when someone dares to put forward a view. At least he stopped short of calling her a cxxt!… Yes, I agree that the second reply was really uncalled for. But Adam deleted it, so it’s gone. I am not on X and so I only see what is here regarding X. Glad to hear he deleted it, I guess he thought better of his second set of comments. It would have been better if he just let it lie when the person thanked him. I agree with someone here that stated HE needs to do some soul searching.

This is all so sleezy. And I am not a religious person. But who cares what anyone gay or straight is doing in the bedroom? It reminds me of those stars who brag and over share about their sexual encounters with their women conquests. Mostly male athletes, actors and musicians go down that road. Well at least Adam is not naming names like some of those jerks. But I guess it is only fun to name them if they are famous too. HA. But if it is for the good and of interest to his community, maybe others should just leave him alone and not hassle him or voice their disapproval to him. He is viewing it as judgment of his sexuality and he seems very angry when others are not enjoying this. I don't enjoy seeing women always twerking on the stage and acting like strippers and that has nothing to do with anyone's sexuality either. You don't have to put everything out there because you can. Then get upset and defensive when it is not met with glee and approval by everyone. I have only listened to one or two songs once so if it is not your cupa then ignore. But I guess it is hard to ignore when he is posting the lyrics and fighting on social media. HA. But this is not an enjoyable time. I wish him well with this but this era can't end fast enough. You wouldn't know it wasn't your cupa unless you listened! He is overly defensive about negative comments, yet he wants evryone to be themselves. This only makes me think he is getting enough negative feedback that it is a sore spot. Don't know.

It´s his right. Why it´s difficult to understand? He knew about the shock value, he likes the shock value. Then he shouldn't be defensive when people are shocked! Also, this person only mentioned the one phase and he jumped to "assumptions" on his lifestyle. Not cool......as they say "assuming" makes an ass of you and me. In this case not ME, personally....LOL

I'm older than Adam, but I'm not "old". I enjoy the new EP very much and listen to it constantly since it came out. It's fun, it's energizing, and Deep House and Lube are really good IMO.
My two cents: I feel some people here are angry with Adam, maybe for releasing music that doesn't take his old time fans into account (although I'm the proof that this isn't quite true). And they express their anger in different ways, some are aggressive, some passive-aggressive, some sarcastic, etc. And I don't take into account members that never posted until there was a chance to stir the pot – something which happens every time Adam releases new music.
I work at a museum, so my first thought re the JC comment was this: if a viewer sees something that bothers or offends them in a work of art, they don't ask the artist a make their art differently. Every aspect of the artwork is part of the artist's meaning, and it's up to the viewer to decide whether or not it's worth being exposed to.
