NoAngel - As always, a great Sunday morning essay.
On Adam's sharing... As I follow Adam, I am often reminded of something I heard John Denver say many years ago. "I have been aching to share my music..." I think that's where Adam is. He knows he has the goods and he truly wants to share his voice and artistry with us. Very telling the other day when he, on more than one occasion, wanted his performance to be totally acoustic for the fans "in the room." He wanted to share the magic of it all.
He made another interesting comment the other day, which I understood to imply that someone may have questioned some of his choices for the album, thinking he's thinking more of radio-friendly than what he would really prefer. Adam loves pop, and wants to be very successful in that genre, but I really think he is making an investment, looking long range, wanting to have the freedom to make the kind of art he wants for the long haul. The fact that he can do two weeks of the intensive promo he has done - with a smile - is a testament to his will and stamina. As we see/hear one interview after another turn up on stations all over the world, we see how hard he is working not just on his art - but on the business part as well.
I look forward to his being able to share his talent and artistry (and gorgeousness!) for decades to come. As Adam said, "This is just the tip of the iceberg!"

Adam is getting so good at 'keeping secrets' in a very sweet way from the media! 8-)  He is nodding ... I think that's a yes ... I hope...(keeping fingers crossed) |

I wonder how he was selected to sing in here. This is 2005, after he got back from Europe and before he joined the Ten Commandement the Musical. Adam sings like an angel. What a voice! He is super skinny at that time. |

Ok, I didn't see anything "off" about the Norwegian interview. I think I watched the right one. It was pretty short and a little more serious. He was just speaking about the darker side of the album and how it is reflective of a part of his life. He seems fine to me; I was nervous to watch after the discussion here. I guess you can get a different view of the video, if you listen only to Adam, but can't follow what the interviewer says in Norwegian. In the comment section of the article there was this video: “Perez goes bonkers over Adam!” Perhaps you've seen it earlier. Yes not sure why PH hates Fergie so much and off course PH went crazy when he found out that Adam prefered to be with the pretty & sexy Fergie than at PH party. LOL |

Adamrock it's going to be noon PST time and 3pm EST (US), and as always I probably will find out when I got to open atop at home ;D Thanks adamme. So I guess it will be 5:00pm my Central time? I can never keep the time zones straight. lol Central is one hour earlier from EST so it would be 2:00pm. |

I did end up to Swedish AL FB page for some reason and they are expecting Adam articles in three other magazines apart from Dorian. * SOLO * Glaze * FRIDA Comments mention some others too that might mention Adam but to me the above mentioned four seem like a sure thing. Let's hope we get some scans when they are published. Adam really did a huge job in Stockholm to include all. As for Finland, good prioritizing to do the TV thing, however big or small it will be. The 45 mins programme is a prime time spot, the radios can be done later by phone more easily. And getting mentions in the tabloids and entertainment news, even with fashion or Sauli connection, is good and keeps him in the public eye. The promo trip seems to be successful. Now that the album is delayed he will get another round of articles when the time comes - also in publications that skip the celebrity thing and concentrate on music. Just saw the commercial clip for the 45 Minutes show with the MTV3 logo in the corner. I'm having a vague memory of someone once saying that is just a normal TV channel in Finland not an "MTv" music television station as it's understood in the US. Am I remembering right? Yes, normal channel. The M comes from word Mainos which means Advertisement. |
