Despite the competitive feeling these polls bring out in me (on Adam's behalf, not my own), I'm seriously considering ignoring the challenge this time. If he wins, what will it get him? What did winning all those previous polls get him? They just keep putting him up against other performers, and he keeps winning, and where is the airplay for his music? I don't know what to do anymore. Jumping through hoops doesn't seem to have any effect. I'd like to be zen about all this, but it eats at me. Ignoring the challenges would only be effective if the station understood why Adam didn't get the votes.. we're deliberately not playing (voting) because it doesn't garner radio play.. versus no one cares or he doesn't have a fanbase, etc.

We are all Adam fans and we work very hard supporting him and getting others to learn about his talent and to support him in all his efforts. We may never all agree on things, but maybe the best way to respond to each other is with respect and allow that we may agree to disagree. To add, taking things out of context definitely leads to misinterpretation. Sometimes we may not see exactly the way others see, that doesn't mean we care any less for our man. I trust that we all have the best intentions when it comes to Adam,or else we wouldn't be here.
To Me the Rainbow Fish says don't give too much away of yourself in order to be accepted. That being yourself is the very best thing you can be. That's my interpretation from what's been said,I have never read the story. Just saying.

Just chiming in on the Rainbow Fish topic... I think that's a sad story and if I had kids I would never read it to them. Adam has said he is focused on, loves, and wants to do pop. Until/unless he says something different, pop is what we're going to get, and people have a choice to either actively support and enjoy that or else patiently ride it out in hopes he does something different someday. You don't have to love pop music to love Adam. It's going to make it tougher on you, granted, but it's not a rule. Anyone can feel free to wish/hope for him to sing [insert your favorite genre], but realize that it may or may not happen. No point in getting upset with people for their wishes/hopes though. It's not like Adam listens to us anyway I think people need to be careful and thoughtful to differentiate Adam's wishes/goals from their own. When you're this invested, the lines can blur. Also, as we know, a person can be happily going along, supporting Adam's vision (yay glitter), only to find that Adam takes a detour or a different path (yay realness). We're only in his second era-- who knows what he's gonna be into in the years to come? Some of Adam's choices will appeal to you, some won't. That's life, and we're back to either supporting/enjoying it or else patiently waiting it out. Until the tell-all autobiography comes out in 30 years, all we're doing is speculating about what is going on in Adam's head (really truly, beneath what he chooses to share) and what his motivations are. It makes no sense to me to try to figure out if he is or isn't being "true to himself" or "selling out" or whatever. How can I possibly know that? Most likely I would be projecting my own stuff into/onto him, and would be way off base. I'm here for whatever Adam wants to give us

I do not know how to screen cap or make gorgeous pics from YT, but, for all the lovers of Adam's profile, the YT at 2:12 is amazeballs. Can I get some help here?

I am SO FUCKING EMBARRASSED by this woman!!! I FEEL Adam feeling awkward!! I mean REEEAAAALYYYYYYY ???????? And the mail interviewer trying to get out some of her embarrassing moments and move forward!! Interview with Adam Lambert on the 94.3 The Point Sound Stage Ha, ha!! She was drooling!! This is why I must NEVER meet Adam! I did meet Adam, but was totally unable to speak. If I ever did find my voice, I would say many more stupid things than she did!!!

Liz is a total goofy fan girl. She was even making me slightly uncomfortable with her endless fan girl gushing. But how could she help it? He is so beautiful. She's right that his eyes are one of the most amazing features about him. Nice interview. I enjoyed this interview. I love people gushing about Adam. LOL But, after all of the OTT superlatives, this station hasn't added BTIKM. Scratches head. I'm curious if anyone knows.. when Adam does these radio promos, is it an "unconditional" kind of visit where he visits and performs without any guarantees that they'll spin or add BTIKM? Can't RCA make any conditions around his visits, especially since he's performing live for them, and it's a promotional win for the radio station? ???

I think radio stations know exactly what is going on with these silly challenges. It pits fanbase against fanbase. And they love to hit up reality show fanbases. David Archuleta won TONS of these things, lol. So did David Cook. Kelly Clarkson not so much. Do most people even know who Ryan Star is?
Bottom line, radio is making no decisions based on who wins these challenges. If they did, certain Idol contestants would be ruling the airwaves.
In a weird way, I think it's better that Adam doesn't win some of these things. It separates him from the Idol bubble and makes his fanbase look just a little less OTT.
Play if you want to, but general requesting and voting for things like VH1 are much more valuable.
