Oh wow, I hope nobody is taking offense at me directly. I'm 35! No way do I personally think "Glamberts" are a bunch of crazy middle aged women. But I do know that there is a certain perception in radio that people who are fans of singers off Idol are pushing for spins for their artist while not being actual, active listeners of a station. That's because to a certain extent it is true. Describes me, anyway. I couldn't listen to CHR unless there was a gun to my head. |

BTW, I think Adam is too strong, too smart, too creative and has too much integrity to ever sell out-- musically or personally. I don't know any more than any of you what's going on with BTIKM or with his album. but he does want to conquer the pop world and I will support him. Period. (unless he starts kicking puppies or something) |

Ha, ha!! She was drooling!! This is why I must NEVER meet Adam!  I did meet Adam, but was totally unable to speak. If I ever did find my voice, I would say many more stupid things than she did!!! Oh, 4msrmyn, thank you for saying this! I have not met Adam, and I always feel ambivalent about the possibility, even though I would love to be in his presence. I KNOW my anxiety would get the better of me and I would say something stupid. I'm reminded of a line in Dirty Dancing, can't remember exactly the context, but 'Baby' is nervous talking to Johnny (?) and says something like "I carried a watermelon". LOL. That would be me. |

Apart from the numbers and calculations, all we have here is opinion and the expression of feelings. Feelings are not right or wrong. Some people feel more strongly than others in general and some people feel more strongly than others about specific topics. This is not right or wrong. They are only feelings nothing less and nothing more. If they bring anxiety, three simple breaths and thoughts about hot fudge brownies just out of the oven and it's a whole new space. No one's feelings are going to cause terrible things to happen. No one is wrong for feeling what they feel. Everyone has a right to what they feel. I have had to remind myself of this on many an occasion here It is funny, and I say this with all due respect, to suggest someone should be careful about projecting their feelings onto Adam. The truth is that everyone here projects their feelings and opinions onto Adam, that is part of the pop star phenomenon. Hopefully everyone can recognize this in themselves and thus not judge someone else for doing it. Because we are all in the opinion, feelings, and projection boat no matter how "logical" a person one thinks one is. Well, that is except for me, my opinions are all right.  |

Cookie, I would love to read this too! I enjoy some occasional mind-numbing academic rambling, lol. (more so with Adam content of course) LOL. I thought only people who HAD to read mind-numbing academic ramblings ever did so willingly, but I'm happy to share the joy.
