2024 marks 15 years since Adam Lambert became a household name thanks to American Idol. And while many other singers from the show — including some winners — have dropped out of the spotlight, Adam’s still going. In July he released a new EP, Afters, and he’s currently making his Broadway debut in a production of Cabaret. Adam credits his longevity in part to his devoted fans. “That is a big reason. If I didn’t have the support of my fan base, there would be no fuel in the tank,” he says of the many twists and turns his career has taken — acting, judging reality competition shows, fronting Queen, doing voice-overs and more. “Honestly. Ok, I guess I was a bit confused. Adam is TAPING The KC show today? Ok. I thought it was being broadcast today. No wonder my DVR listing didn't make sense. So the broadcast date will be announced at some point. I kept thinking KC's show was in LA, but I guess it's in NY. Whatever. Can't wait to see him on the show when it airs.
I always love the guy from the video above who listened to Girl Crush. He is really an Adam fan big-time! Too bad he really didn't know the background from that performance. Adam and Leona were filling in when one of the Little Big Town members couldn't make the performance. Would have given him a better perspective on what the song is all about. I LOVE that performance, BTW, and the humorous irony of Adam singing it.
