But isn't that the whole idea of taping? Not to show the same day? Otherwise it's live? Sorry, don't watch any tv, so don't know how that works. I always thought they taped the shows so they could show it later in the day, and edit out any problems, or un-expected occurances. I know The View tapes in the morning, and the same show is on in the afternoon. I think (not sure, it has been many years) that Fallon tapes late in the afternoon and shows at night. Kelly seems to tape more than one in a day and then spreads them out. It probably works for her with kids, kids vacations, etc. Also, some guests may not be available at a later date. I am just glad it is only a week away. I wonder if Auli'i was also on. It only says Adam. |

I know from Corden and Colbert that they Tape in the afternoon and Show at night the Same day. John Oliver Tapes saturday and shows sunday night.

It varies from show to show depending on the needs of the hosts mostly.
