Does anyone know if Adam completely resung the AFtermath song for the remix, or did they take his vocal from the original track and put different music to it? Still having a hard time imagining this song with a dance-mix beat/feel to it. In one of the old articles linked to yesterday one of the writers Eli? maybe said that the original demo of Aftermath sounded like Beyonce's Halo before the producers changed it up and made it rock. Not sure if Halo is considered dance or not but somebody talented could do an Aftermath/Halo mashup. Does anyone remember that right after we'd heard about Alison writing/singing with Adam that Adam sent out a tweet to a stranger saying they were beautiful? After we knew the song lyrics I always felt he was acting on what he'd written. ETA: Halo is 128 BPM (beats per minute)

LambertUK "An Apology to Adam Lambert Fans from Bob Zerull" - Zoiks! Online - bit.ly/fX43fm ;D he is digging himself in deeper and deeper... for instance - what does this mean? Or rather what did the author mean? my coprehension is failing me in this case :-/ "I probably shouldn’t have brought Adam Lambert up, but if anything bringing Lambert up in a post about Durbin is more insulting to Durbin than it is Lambert. Does anyone know if Adam completely resung the AFtermath song for the remix, or did they take his vocal from the original track and put different music to it? Still having a hard time imagining this song with a dance-mix beat/feel to it. In an interview he said, "They pulled the vocals out." I have NO idea what that means! But I thought it was very specific wording. The vocals from the original recording are on separate tracks. The can take those vocal tracks and put them with new electro tracks. Billboard (the producer) specializes in electronic composition -- I am expecting synthetic music and electronic percussion. I never thought that the instrumentation on the original recording had much to do with Adam or his vocal performance or the song. I love the acoustic version and am very optimistic about the dance mix version. Here is the album track -- Youtube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=E4UM2gNQrug&feature=relatedMySpace: ilike.myspacecdn.com/play#Adam+Lambert:Aftermath:152436944Here is a YT where someone filtered Adam's vocals so you can really hear the instrumentation from Aftermath FYE -- could be on a Kelly Clarkson or Daughtry album. www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVam5SmSWEkAnd just the album instrumentation: www.karaoke-version.com/mp3-backingtrack/adam-lambert/aftermath.html?app_currency=USDMy guess is that the new instrumentation will be upbeat, dancey. In my head, the vocals were left alone with but contemporary electronic instrumentation and production. Here is a an example -- Bad Romance (Bimbo Jones Vocal Mix) www.youtube.com/watch?v=DSZKwP4F18EHere are a couple Billboard tracks..... Robyn's "Get Myself Together" www.youtube.com/watch?v=S809Ul7dcEwBritney's "Till the World Ends" www.britneyspears.com/2011/03/till-the-world-ends-now-available-on-itunes.php I do not expect that Adam's vocals have been modified like this. Just can't believe he would allow it. But it really much have a much stronger beat track, and be around 130 BPM if they really want it to be a club/fitness hit. Bad Romance (Bimbo Jones) 133 BPM Get Myself Together 128 BPM Till the World Ends 132 BPM

What a wonderful place this!
Thank you NoAngel for another outstanding essay. I agree with others that this may be the best yet.
Skylar, loved your post.
Kapsiz, kudos to you for your bravery.
Q3, I hope your predictions are correct! One prediction I have is that maybe Adam will combine some of the remix into the performance, could be at the end. I think it some of it will be played at some point that night.

Q3- loved your predictions..really hope you are spot on!!! Just do hope Adam credits all the writers this time. Not just say "friends" Had a dream (my first of Adam) last night.. Adam was singing Aftermath.. and behind him all his friends from Zodiac were coming out on stage behind him..they were dressed like they were coming back from the IIHY vid shoot.. it was really cool.
NoAngel.. loved your post today..as always you have a way with words..always so inspired.
Kapsiz- You are so brave and strong.. We will be here for support should you have the need.
So not only will Adam be singing.. but, there will be Diddy and Cook too? Wow.. that will be a little packed won't it. Oh, and don't forget we will get the Idols moving into their digs.. if they don't show that on the performance night.

" I think what he means is that if the article was ostensibly about James Durbin, it could be seen as insulting to Durbin if the author felt the need to drag in an extraneous Adam mention, as if the article wouldn't be compelling enough, relevant enough or attractive enough without Adam's name attached. IMO, the "apology" was self-serving, ridiculous and revisionist. I notice he didn't link to his original article, but the headline was something to the effect that "American Idol May Have a New Adam Lambert - If Not Better". The spirit of the article was considerably different than he was portraying it to be in his lame "mea culpa" followup. Own your douchebaggery, dude.

It has been a "Right click save, right click save, right click save" day at ATOP. Thank you everyone, esp. NoAngel and Skylar. OT, now, I don’t post much, but, I do lot of saving. Re Q3‘s question about Halfie, I have just posted one of my early Halfie favorites in the Inspired by Adam:: Words of Wisdom, Inspiration, and Beauty thread. One quote: “If it’s true that sexy is sexy, then it’s just as true that manly is manly.” Is this the right place? Read more:http://atop.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=inspired&thread=32&page=1#ixzz1FqOkLLkt Supardu, thank you for adding Halfie's post. There are so many knowledgable, articulate, and insightful posts that get lost in the threads. I wish I would have saved so many of them. If you, or anyone else, has any more treasures please post them over there. Thanks!
