Is Thursday not goig to be live? What is Nigel talking about? dizzyfeet Nigel Lythgoe We are pre-taping for 2 weeks as we have a new Director & new judges. It has nothing to do with manipulation you morons. twitter.com/#!/dizzyfeet As I understand it, ??? he is only referring to performance nights for the AI10 contestants. "Boot" night is always live. They have the audience scheduled for Thursday night so it will be live and someone from ATop will be there -- she says green with envy! ETA: Maybe Nigel is right -- they did not vote for ADAM!!!

As I understand it, ??? he is only referring to performance nights for the AI10 contestants. "Boot" night is always live. Sorry but did he call the audience MORONS? ??? Yes, but that kind of cracks me up. He's probably talking to the grassy knollers who think pre-taping is being done so certain contestants can sing multiple times until they hit it perfectly. There's nothing more fun than accusing AI of voter manipulation. In fact, that's what I think most knollers get off on. I'm sure it's a mutual dislike. Knollers hate AI but love the conspiracies. He's basically saying the answer is pretty simple. One of the things they wanted to do is get back to finishing on time. Remember how people were afraid that Adam might be in trouble the night of Mad World? The performance was amazing but the show ran over and some fans were worried it could cost him in the voting. That's a trend they wanted to reverse this year. Pre-taping lets them get used to the show and edit out any overages. We'll see if they've really nailed the issue once they start having live performance shows.

I agree this was the perfect place for them to do a duet of Aftermath. And although, I was heavily against it, when we all discussed it here, before the LA shows, it did provide one of the "moments" of that show. I think Alisan, Ilsey and Adam have already implied that they have collaborated again, at least for writing.

After looking at some of the stuff that's being tweeted to Nigel, I'd close that account if it were me. LOL

??? ;D he is digging himself in deeper and deeper... for instance - what does this mean? Or rather what did the author mean? my coprehension is failing me in this case :-/ "I probably shouldn’t have brought Adam Lambert up, but if anything bringing Lambert up in a post about Durbin is more insulting to Durbin than it is Lambert. " I think what he means is that if the article was ostensibly about James Durbin, it could be seen as insulting to Durbin if the author felt the need to drag in an extraneous Adam mention, as if the article wouldn't be compelling enough, relevant enough or attractive enough without Adam's name attached. IMO, the "apology" was self-serving, ridiculous and revisionist. I notice he didn't link to his original article, but the headline was something to the effect that "American Idol May Have a New Adam Lambert - If Not Better". The spirit of the article was considerably different than he was portraying it to be in his lame "mea culpa" followup. Own your douchebaggery, dude. Completely agree. Should have left it alone!

WOW! I just looked at Nigel's Twitter feed -- they are Morons.
But I also think that Idol should have preempted this by just announcing the reason for the change. The way they did it looks like they are planning to manipulate the performances and edit the show -- to manipulate the viewers. But I really doubt that they would do that ???
