I love Dr. Who!!! I even have encyclopedic books!!! My DH and I recorded all the episodes from PBS before we went to Indonesia just so we could watch them over and over. My Who is the inimitable Tom Baker and I keep meaning to watch the new one who I have heard is good but Adam stanning gets in my way. Don't die of the shock, but they actually have a special effects budget now!! And its more than loose couch change!  ;D The era of dirt cheap, cheesetastic effects is officially over (tho' admittedly that WAS half the fun)  |

I used to love "Good Neighbors" and "Lord of the Manor" and then more recently "AbFab"(so Funny)
OT I haven't seen Sandysva lately and was wondering idf she is around?

Noangel - Another beautiful post. I love your insight. Q3 I love your predictions. Kapsiz you are beautiful!! I have cued up that Idol interview to show my husband. He is a great Dr Who fan. Anything to get him on "TeamAdam". I jst discovered that Dishnetwork is in a rate dispute with the local network provider and the local network provider has blocked our viewing ability. This includes Fox. I am so upset. >:( I have called Dish but they give a recorded message that trhey are in negotiations. I have called Fox but their voice mail is full. Hopefully they will get this resolved before Thursday.  >:( If worse comes to worse, check out the site listed on page one today - Justnutstv - you can watch it on your computer. Won't be as good as a large screen tv, but at least you won't miss it. Those cable deals usually get done at the last minute, but just in case... bookmark it today! |

Ok 4 Brits + 1 Honorary Brit 8-) 8-) Or Fawlty Towers OK, I'm not British, but we've always had a ton of British shows on our tv stations, as we're all into that dry sense of humor here in Croatia. I adore Fawlty Towers ( that John Cleese just cracks me up!), but my all time favorite is Blackadder-it just doesn't get better than that, IMHO 8-) |

I’m way back in the thread and speed reading to catch up... but have to comment on serendipitous appearances of glitter, as per agnelle and mys*&@^#r’s posts. I’m tellin’ ya, with the association of glitter with AFL and all that he stands for... the concept of random glitter appearances would make the BEST MUSIC VIDEO EVAH!!!! A person going through major tests in his/her life... being rejected... being full of despair... and then randomly/magically finding a speck of glitter where they least expect it... No? Okay, nvm... Skylar, I luuurved your entire post!! And chasingeden, loved loved loved your post about the aspen trees: Yes!! That’s us!!! We may get burned down/chopped down with endless RL crap, but the wonderful peeps here at ATop give us hugs and kisses, dust us off then throw some glitter on us, and send us back to RL feeling nurtured and optimistic again. We are the strong roots. That is all.   |

And I think they're on their 9th, maybe 10th Doctor (the Doctor is a Time Lord who regenerates every once in a while...each time with a new actor ) Sure, start with the newest one(s). Then, go back to...I'd recommend Tom Baker to see what "classic" Dr. Who was about. Each Doctor had its charms (tho note that the oldest ones were filmed in the black-and-white era!). |

Somehow I don't think Adam will have smoke or any other special effects. I also think he will dress in a classic, understated way. It's more appropriate for the song. I suspect that the Diddy number will be wilder and over-the-top, and then Adam will come out and it will be all about the voice. For Idol, I think that's a good thing, because everyone who likes glittery Adam is already a fan and this will give him a chance to win over some viewers who might be a little more conventional in their musical preferences. THIS!!!!!!  |
