Susiefierce: Loving the glitter goggles! Speaking of glitter, when I got of the shower, yesterday, I had glitter on my arm! WTF?? I haven't worn any glitter since New Year's Eve! (And I have taken many showers since then! LOL!)

But please if you do this, also keep them in Sunday's daily news. It sets a tone for the whole day IMO! I have an idea -- I can integrate a Wordpress blog with the forum and post the best articles from ATop 1 and 2 -- and if anyone save some of the best from PF those too. If anyone is interested in being a publisher, let me know. I have one project ahead of it, but can do it next week. Thoughts? Volunteers? In the meantime, I will start a thread for people to post any old PF articles -- there were so many great ones there too. I'd be happy to help. It would be great if we could arrange by author and subject. For instance, I see many of yours and NoAngel's as a progression, so would love to read all of them in one place, like an anthology. Each of you with your own chronological thread. Then maybe we can have a general thread where – though you and NoAngel, Cassie and Skylar – are in an author thread, but can be linked to a "Read more on this subject," without interrupting the flow of your essays. Did Halfie email his to you? Or did he PM through PF? Any chance you still have those?

NoAngel, for the first time ever on Adamtopia I cried. Not something I do very often as I am mostly stoic and really prefer the funny and joyful shallow end. However I do have a thoughtful side and in that place this is what Aftermath has meant to me from the very beginning in all its versions and permutations. I have always loved this song. Life is a process and not an event; requiring strength, endurance, and love to get through. Many of us have stories to tell but often those stories are shared with others and so are not ours to narrate but as individuals, we look for and find strength is unexpected places; like songs or forums full of wonderful people with huge hearts and great wisdom. Today, this morning I have realized that some of my worst unarticulated fears have perhaps at last become just normal everyday life difficulties which can be handled without worrying that every move made is weighted with so many potentially scary outcomes. This is what results from thoughtful words and a beautiful heartfelt song. In other words, the aftermath. So thank you NoAngel and Adam. This sums up so much for me too. The camaraderie and genuine caring on this site is what keeps me coming back (and thank you all for so many of the bread crumb trails that have enabled me to continue to find you). I don't post a lot but do a lot of "head nodding" behind the scenes. To those who have shared their personal stories and challenges on this "family" board, major hugs. Yesterday I told my sister that Adam would be returning to Idol on Thursday. I asked her to watch one of Adam's Aftermath performances. Her comment was that she now understands why I love him so much. Two years ago my life underwent major changes and I questioned my ability and strength to carry on. I had the advantage of family and friends to support me, but this song resonated so strongly and Adam's positive attitude and caring hooked me and I will be a fan forever. To everyone on this board, thank you so much.

Wow! What a treasure trove we have here today...
When I first started following AL, it was his voice that drew me in. I stayed because of his fans. When I was in Jackson Hole, WY, a hotelier of a luxury chain told me that he had a very difficult time getting rid of the aspen trees that were blocking the best views from his property. They tried everything, including burning the trees, but nothing worked. In fact, the trees seemed to come back faster and stronger. As it turned out, he learnt that these trees have an inter-locking root system that nurtures and sustains them during adversities. It's a root community, so to speak, that links, supports and rebuilds the needy.
I have often pondered upon the community that Adam is able to build via his voice; be it of music or spoken (and unspoken) words. What I now learn is that the voice that echoes the most in me, most often, is that from his fans.
Thank you.

One more thing...
Aftermath, my least favorite song from album, is totally different live. I think the message is more real and earnest because it applies to everyone, not just the glitterati and gaganuti...

Hearing it played on the piano like this makes it sound very Ferras.

Just a thought, but I think the talent booking at AI is VERY specific. You can't just bring a friend along. Alisan, as a professional singer, would need to be booked in her own right. I don't know if her ties to Adam and Randy would impede or facilitate this, but my gut says that wouldn't be so easy. Also, if that were the case, I think Adam, Alisan, Ely, Randy or Ferras would have tweeted something by now.

IMO, it would lose it's power if it was a duet. The average Idol watcher does not know about the Alisan/Adam connection or what Alisan's Aftermath was about.
