NoAngel, could you put your essays in their own thread so that we can find them to reread? Today's was your best effort yet. But please if you do this, also keep them in Sunday's daily news. It sets a tone for the whole day IMO! I have an idea -- I can integrate a Wordpress blog with the forum and post the best articles from ATop 1 and 2 -- and if anyone save some of the best from PF those too. If anyone is interested in being a publisher, let me know. I have one project ahead of it, but can do it next week. Thoughts? Volunteers? In the meantime, I will start a thread for people to post any old PF articles -- there were so many great ones there too.

This morning's thread is all kinds of warm and fuzzy wonderfulness. I love the deep end Skylar, I copied your post to the "Words of inspiration" thread. Thanks for saving all those great posts and sharing them again. ((((((Adamtopia))))))

I wish I was articulate, but I'm not. My brain is however, and I love these essays and post. I have the most clever and thoughtful thoughts in my own head. Then I try to make a joke.
One of the things I love though is that they often paint pictures for me and stay with me.

NoAngel:Aftermath takes us one step further. It’s not just about waving your freak flag, but about moving towards what you want in life. In the It Gets Better video, Adam says, “It gets better, but it’s up to you.” He tells listeners that they need to put effort into their journey, a message echoed in Aftermath. Like the divas, his song also speaks of self-acceptance (“Don’t be afraid of what’s inside”) and the fact that others can relate and are there to support you (“Anytime anybody pulls you down/Anytime anybody says you’re not allowed/Just remember you are not alone.”)
But there is also a call to action—“Take a step before you leap,” and “Think of what could be if you rewrite the role you play.” This is a song to encourage you to move forward, even if by only a small step at first, and tells you that you are the creator of your own destiny. It also says that the answer is not to build up a wall around yourself, but to connect with others. “Before you break you have to shed your armor” means that you have to risk being vulnerable in order to transform. When he tells us to “Take a trip and fall into the glitter,” he is saying that we must take that journey towards our goals, and also that a stumble along the way is okay. Life, like glitter, is messy and hard to control, but you have to get into it and risk making mistakes. And from those risks and mistakes we gain character and strength and beauty. We become glitterier!
I actually could have bolded these entire two paragraphs, but figured that would be counter-productive. Regarding the Freak flag: EXACTLY!! Yes, it's wonderful when we can all just be ourselves and let it all hang out and have a wonderful time, but Aftermath does take it to the next, deeper, level. And all my other favorite lines echo that. That glitter metaphor might be my favorite analogy ever. Yes, glitter, like life, it is most definitely messy and hard to control, but the subtle way it amplifies and beautifies and catches and refracts light so mundane things looks beautiful and beautiful things look ethereal, is usually worth the spillage on the carpet. Thank you to Adam and all of you for helping me look at life through glitter goggles.

Another week gone by, so fast these days...
Always look forward to the Sunday post from NoAngel and today is another thought inducing tear jerker for me:-)
Q3 love your predictions and will be interesting to see what he does. Personally I am hoping for simple... Just him and Monte, well at least in the beginning. Perhaps a little climax infusion at the end would be exciting. Good lighting and him sitting at the start and standing at the end for more power. Hoping his hair is more emo this time because that seems more vulnerable.
But really, I am on team he can do what ever he wants and I will love it:-)
Mys*&@^#r: I am so happy for you!!!
Skylar: loved your post and thoughts!
Kapsiz: Yeah for you!
Happy belated birthday to all those I have not commented on:-)
ETA: and I am on team No Alisan on Thursday. Just Adam singing, Please universe...

Prediction for AI performance - he brings Alisan with him and sings as a duet... I'm a little afraid that you are right. I hope not. It loses some of the message when that happens. Q3 and NoAngel, as usual brilliant posts. Q3: Chuckled at the one necklace comment. I'm not sure how spot on you are there, but so anxious to see his outfit. I would be totally happy if he did the performance exactly as he did at GNT, even though each was a little different. It was so pure, so sincere, yet when he took a minute and smiled, so joyous. NoAngel: I agree that it is great that many artists area jumping on the bandwagon, but even though Adam was not bullied as a teen, he has still experienced the emotional upheaval caused by being different. It's like telling someone who as lost a loved one, "I know how you feel." You mean well, but you have no idea how they feel. As always, Sunday is started out with a bang with your posts. I was up off and on all night with 103 degree fever and was going to call one of you to bring me a bowl of that soup. I feel better today, but still achy and have sore throat and gravelly voice. I'm going to read today's thread then go back to read from page 28 on from last night.
