You know, Elton John throws a big Oscars party every year, and I would not be surprised if Adam and Sauli will be attending that party -- lots of A list folks go to that one, too!

Justin Hawkins @justinhawkinsIt takes immense courage to step up and front the world's greatest band. @adamlambert will nail it, there's nobody better suited to the task In honor of his obvious coolness I may now need to start following Justin!

HAHA!! If some heavy metal dude throws a bottle of pee at Adam, he will probably get beaten-up by a bunch of Glamfans!! Tackled, tarred, feathered and lashed to a post. and then you just throw glitter all over that dude--sparkle him into submission because resistance is futile!!!!!

Sounds like Sauli will be at the Oscar gala on Sunday, wonder who is he going to be with? www.saulikoskinen.net/2012/02/peurat-ja-oscarit/Sunnuntaina täällä järjestetään Oscar-gaala Kodak-teatterissa. Koko Hollywood boulevard on suljettu jo viisi päivää sitten valmistelujen takia, joka on aiheuttanut aikamoiset ruuhkat kaupungissa. Itse meinaan seurata gaalaa, mutta en kotisohvalta. On Sunday there will be Oscal Gala at the Kodak theater here. The whole Hollywood boulevard has been closed already five days ago for preparations. And that has caused quite a rush in the city. I will follow the Oscar Gala , but not from the home couch. ETA: twitter is saying that also there are plenty of parties to go to, like Elton John party, so maybe not the gala they will attend, but a party I love Sauli just on general principal, but I have to say that I am particulary amused by his ongoing use of the phrase "home couch". It always makes me laugh and I always know immediately what he means.

OK. Just fell completely in love with Justin Hawkins. (and might I add, very very smart move) Me too. I bought Nile's book and may have to purchase me some Darkness tunes. Good idea! They're such a fun, feel-good band. This one is my personal favourite Which reminds me, I do hope Suburban Decay surfaces one day. Will probably be on a compilation of b-sides and demos, including the early Fonzerelli stuff. A man can dream, right? :D

www.411mania.com/music/news/226241Adam Lambert Not Worried About Backlash For Fronting Queen At Sonisphere Posted by Joseph Lee on 02.24.2012 He says people shouldn't compare... Adam Lambert says he's not worried about backlash for fronting Queen at this year's Sonisphere festival. The festival takes place at Knebworth on July 6-8. When asked if he was worried about the crowd throwing things on the stage (called "bottling"), he said: "Well I'll be sure to wear something that protects my helmet. I wear a helmet onstage, maybe that would be a good fashion statement." He then insisted that he's not trying to replace Freddie Mercury. He added: "The way I look at it is I'm not trying to imitate or outdo him or compete in any way, that's not even in my mind at all, I think it's really an honor to be asked to sing the music that he and the band wrote and get up there and put on a good show. If people are too busy trying to compare, they're not going to enjoy the music." more

www.bravewords.com/news/178665ADAM LAMBERT Unafraid Of Potential Backlash Fronting QUEEN At Sonisphere NME.com reports: ADAM LAMBERT has insisted he is unfazed by any potential backlash at his stint fronting QUEEN. The singer was this week announced to be singing with the band at this year's Sonisphere festival, taking place at Knebworth, taking place July 6th - 8th. But when NME spoke to Lambert in his first interview since the announcement, he admitted to being unfamiliar with UK rock festival traditions such as 'bottling'. "Oh great!" he said when given the lowdown. "Well I'll be sure to wear something that protects my helmet. I wear a helmet onstage, maybe that would be a good fashion statement." Queen drummer Roger Taylor was on the Chris Evans Breakfast Show this week. Check out the BBC iPlayer (here) for the interview that starts at 1h 44m 11secs. (UK only). Roger talks about the show at Sonisphere with Adam Lambert and The BRITs. more
