You know, Elton John throws a big Oscars party every year, and I would not be surprised if Adam and Sauli will be attending that party -- lots of A list folks go to that one, too! Yeah, I thought I heard that he has had it for the past twenty years and it benefits Aids research. I think that's the party Adam and Sauli will attend if they go to any. I really am giving some love to Justin Hawkins. Did you hear what Justin said Freddie-purists and metal dudes?! ;D Smokeyvera keeping your Mom and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Sounds like Sauli will be at the Oscar gala on Sunday, wonder who is he going to be with? www.saulikoskinen.net/2012/02/peurat-ja-oscarit/Sunnuntaina täällä järjestetään Oscar-gaala Kodak-teatterissa. Koko Hollywood boulevard on suljettu jo viisi päivää sitten valmistelujen takia, joka on aiheuttanut aikamoiset ruuhkat kaupungissa. Itse meinaan seurata gaalaa, mutta en kotisohvalta. On Sunday there will be Oscal Gala at the Kodak theater here. The whole Hollywood boulevard has been closed already five days ago for preparations. And that has caused quite a rush in the city. I will follow the Oscar Gala , but not from the home couch. ETA: twitter is saying that also there are plenty of parties to go to, like Elton John party, so maybe not the gala they will attend, but a party I love Sauli just on general principal, but I have to say that I am particulary amused by his ongoing use of the phrase "home couch". It always makes me laugh and I always know immediately what he means. Well, that might be the vagaries of translation, not Sauli himself. (someone from the US would say 'my couch' or 'my couch at home'.) But it is charming

OK. Just fell completely in love with Justin Hawkins. (and might I add, very very smart move) yep, me too....and I just tweeted him my love! Haha! it takes balls to step up to the plate and support a relative newcomer openly and publicly. Don't see many other people in the music industry doing it...sure they might say nice things about Adam if asked - but Justin is shouting it loud and clear. (and to a very important audience ) I LOVE HIM! ♥

Wonder whether those metal reporters earlier are reading Justin Hawkins twitter? They were so in awe of The Darkness, yet at least one guy was quite uncertain about Adam. Those tweets may influence them a bit, I would hope.
When Queen and Adam are doing their prep-concerts in Moscow a lot more people are going to check out any youtube videos should they show up. That will probably define the debate for Knebworth prior to the concert quite a bit.
I have been observing both the Queen fan sites as well as comment sections in UK press quite a bit recently and notice that prior to the official announcement, when all the speculation was going on, there was a lot of disrespectful debate to be found. Now that the announcement has happened, I am noticing a distinct change in tone. There is more respect, less mocking, they are cautiously adjusting.
Whether that is because now people are actually checking out Adam's videos, whether this is because we now find more heavy-weight reporters and Queen fans weighing in vs. some silly homophobes pretending to be Queen fans earlier, I don't know exactly, but the difference is startling. The posts along the lines of "he is just a talent show kid" have become significantly less frequent, recently.
I think we just need to give people a bit of time to adjust to the new information, check things out, form their own opinion. For many, especially in the UK, this is the first they have ever heard of Adam Lambert.
Due to some earlier post here, I walked over to AO today to log in. I can still log in there just fine, the Facebook link was only needed to do this voting game.
By the way, for those who have followed the discussion recently on Queenonline, Michael Allred has started a post over on AO. Interesting. Rabbit, I saw your really good response. Pretty much everything has been said already, so I did not respond anymore. Fanbases meeting on another online.
ETA: One local radio station WNNK is now playing BTIKM! Have not heard it yet, but saw it announced as coming up and then had to leave......grrrrrr...so I missed it, but yeah!

Elton John party? Sounds like lots of fun! (if that's where they're going.) And we do say "homecouch" (kotisohva) often here in Finland so it's not a Sauli thing only.
