I was watching a documentary about Queen and found it very interesting: Three fun facts: 1. Brian May does not like the song " Don't stop me now" ~49:19 2. NME trashed Queen and Freddie 3. Radio Gaga is actually Radio Caca based on a sentence Roger Taylor's kid kept repeating

Just to put a few fears to rest re: NME interview. I have been reading the Sonisphere forums ..these are all metal fans and they are not happy with the questions asked!...One example: Those are some pretty disgusting accusations from NME and I'm of a mind to e-mail them to tell them my feelings about that.
I'm not going to claim that Metal fans are always friendly and accepting, in fact there is a lot of hypocrisy in Metal about that sort of thing. Bottling does happen of course, I have seen My Chemical Romance and Aiden being bottled but Reading festival is by far the worst for it and in three years of Sonisphere not a single band has been bottled. Then the writer made up some crap about people pissing in the bottles first. I have no idea where the writer got the idea about Metal fans chanting "You fat bastard" either, Sonisphere is not a football match.
What an asshole.I'm not even a metal fan or even familiar with metal fans and i read the interviewer as an asshole. it's like I said, he was just stopping short of saying Adam had no business singing with Queen. Glad to see some metal fans stepping up and calling bullshit on this.

I do think there are a lot of people who honestly do not like vibrato. I mostly prefer it over straight tone. Freddie sang with a bit of vibrato here and there. And he was a trained pianist, but not a trained singer, according to my quick reading inline. Am I right?

Can someone explain 'vibrato' to me again? And why do some think you shouldn't sing with it? Thanks. From wikipedia: Vibrato is a musical effect consisting of a regular, pulsating change of pitch. It is used to add expression to vocal and instrumental music. Vibrato is typically characterised in terms of two factors: the amount of pitch variation ("extent of vibrato") and the speed with which the pitch is varied ("rate of vibrato")

This guys uses a long "eye" sound.) The oscillation in pitch is easy to visualize on string instruments. You see the wiggling that varies the pitch up and down at a rapid speed. Why some people don't like it? It's a matter of taste. There are certain vibratos I can't stand.

Oh, the vibrato meme...it may have had its origins from one of the relentless trolls on TWOP who spend their lives bashing Adam (seriously, it's the only place they post, they get banned, they sign up with new name, rinse, repeat ad nauseum). I do vividly remember one of them snarking about the "goat-like vibrato" after Adam's slayage of the EMAs. I particularly remember it because IIRC I actually snorted out loud. Once they've found a straw to grasp, they do like to spread it around. Like they wouldn't give an appendage to have their woobie of choice front with one of the most famous bands of all time. /shrug. Are you sure it isn't one person logging in under two different names so they can banter with themselves? Lol
