Ack!! My post disappeared when I meant to add smiley. *tries not to throw iPad* NoAngel, PERFECTION!!! I especially loved last paragraph, beautifully said!! Wanted to bring this over from last night: EEK!!! ladymaserati, PLEASE don't feel that way!! I have actually been thinking on many occasions over last several days that I wanted to tell you how proud I was of you for continuing to take the risk and post and that you've been expressing yourself beautifully, but I hadn't done it. :-[ But with your every post, I was cheering you on. You've been doing great and probably teaching yourself more English than you realize because you are so motivated to try. You've been doing great, seriously!! And ALL of us have things come across wrong, even when this is the only language we know (and some of us make a living in communications even : PLEASE keep posting and joining the conversation!!

I partly agree and I wondered about that the other day when an article in its entirety was posted here and it apparently was because people couldn't access the site from their workplace and didn't want to wait until they were at home. But: I live in a scorned country and if people wouldn't make "stuff" available I still to this day would not have been able to see Adam's BTIKM vid. Okay, maybe with hidemyass, that's how I could watch the Queen documentary. 8-) IMO it's something that's not only happening in Adam's fandon but in every fandom, so overall I'm not concerned. It's a good point and a great opportunity for a reminder to MAKE IT A POINT TO ALWAYS CLICK ON THE ORIGINAL LINK. I do. It's rather easy, but many people cannot access the videos and photos because of Flash or country prohibitions. Fans rip things so that everyone has an opportunity to see. But those who collect, format and share media are always emphatic people make sure to hit the original source whenever possible. The Friday when BTIKM was released and being reviewed coincided with another round of Queen rumors press and stories were coming so dang fast that I could barely keep up, but I clicked on every one of them, and read the piece, even if it was a cut/paste job from another story. By the end of the day, I was exhausted, sure I had clicked on more than 100 stories that day. Media knows they're competing with every other outlet, and sometimes they straight out "borrow" from others. The Socialite Life and Celebrity Gossip usually get the same pap photos as Jared, but he beats them by an hour almost always. Even though we've seen and posted the pics, I think most people (on my feed anyway) still view the entire slide show both to hit the site and to see if there are any new photos. On Twitter, I think the vast majority of people always link to the original story, with the exception of translations, but Mia and Zinnia always remind people to click on Sauli's original links and don't bring over the photos as a added incentive to get people to remember to click on his links. Proliferation of links and stories is always a good thing, I think. When I post an article here, I rarely do it in its entirety (unless it's a paragraph), always post the original link and make sure everyone knows there is (MORE), as do Gelly, Wal and most who bring over news. Regarding YouTube, NBC does a very good job keeping its stuff proprietary when it is brand new, but it seems they let it go after awhile. For instance, the day after Leno performance, they took down every YT and kept driving people back to their site. They do this with everything - SNL sketches, in particular. When they are hot buzz, they'll drive everyone back to the NBC sites, but it seems they let it go after a week or two and know the publicity driven by the YouTubes is as valuable as the hits from an older clip. I always link back to the original. I always want to see the original and I assume everyone else does, too. If you ever find that link missing from my posts, please let me know. I give fans credit for knowing they should always give the original site hits. Someone else can write the essay giving all of the reasons this is important. But, really, don't you guys already know why? I save as much as possible because future accessibility is an issue. A fresh link is usually easy to follow, but, as time passes, on site info gets moved. Info becomes very hard to find. Info disappears.

Like everyone I totally enjoyed the Saturday Night Online Chat ... I felt like he was talking directly to me !! ... just a random chat about loads of things .. he has an riveting presence on camera Q3 commented on how he felt his dancing on Idol was awkward, especially the Paula Disco - I thought he was great !! I think that Adam is an excellent dancer on par with most global pop stars -- and well above the average Idol contestant, I still do not understand why he said that -- but maybe he could not think of anything else? Cause in my "completely unbiased opinion" he was pretty much perfect on Idol.

NoAngel wrote: The analogy of Adam as Icarus has been attributed to Eber, who purportedly posted on an Idol forum after the AMAs that Adam's "willingness to leap toward the sun is what thrills us about him," and this is true. Only yesterday in the Saturday Night Online chat Adam told us that if he were a mythical creature he'd like to be a dragon and to have the power to fly. I think Adam knows himself better than his father knows him in this case. The fire is in Adam's belly, not in the star towards which he reaches. He flies, not with borrowed wings, but under his own power, fueled by his own passion. If he misses the mark he blames no one but himself and wears his singed wings as a badge of honor. This is why, no matter what happens onstage in July, Adam has already touched the sun. ********* ********* Oh, NoAngel, you are a wonderful writer. This brought tears - happy, I think. That's all I can say... NoAngel.... Beautiful beyond words.

Nica 575. No one ever says to us "I love you, even if you are straight." What is a man suppose to say to someone who says "I love you, even if you are gay?" That statement doesn't make sense. If you really love someone, sexual orientation has nothing to do with it. Gay isn't a disease. I think Adam is just trying to say "Love me because I am me." "I am not ashamed of being gay." "I am just me."
I just wish Adam wouldn't be upset when a girl says to him "Why are you gay? I love you and want you to be my boyfriend." I think they mean it as a compliment, not realizing that it is rude. I am sure Adam himself has looked at a straight man friend and thought "I wish he was gay." "We would get along so well." That is not an insult to me. It is just being a human attracted to someone who is not available for whatever reason.
I can't wait until "gay" and "straight" are meaningless words. I am sure it will take years, but it too shall become obsolete at some time in human history.

I wondered whether it had to do with the fact that it was the dynamics of the whole group that made it akward for him?

SusieFierce thanks for bringing this comment over. ladymaserati, keep posting -- you will not offend anyone here. When it come to writing things that come across wrong -- that is my specialty . So you are in dubious company but you have company. If what you want to say does not come out quite right, people will ask a question or post a differing opinion. Just try to explain and people will will listen. And if they do not seem to, remember that sometimes people post without taking the times to understand the pout they are responding to. Everyone here comes from different perspectives and different places -- but we all share the same hopes and dreams for Adam. The diversity of this fanbase is one of its great joys and wonders.
